The Vesuvian Inn is a multi-functional academic and residential hospitality complex situated overlooking the Bay of Naples and centrally located near the most famous ancient Roman sites in the world, such as Pompei, Herculaneum and of course, Stabia. Our focus is to support and broaden the study of the cultural, historic and artistic heritage of our southern Italian region and partner with researchers and institutions from all over the world. RESTAURANTS - MAIN RESTAURANT The main restaurant is located overlooking the garden and the Bay of Naples and can accommodate 180 diners. Our kitchen is inspired by local Neapolitan cuisine and are also able to fulfill special dietary needs, such as: gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, salt- free, food allergies. The dining hall is also a splendid location for special events, from buffet dinners and lunches to more formal occasions.

PANORAMIC RESTAURANT Our third floor restaurant enjoys sweeping panoramic views from the terrace of the local mountains and of course, the Bay. In addition, the room is recently updated with fresco reproductions from the Roman Villas at Stabiae and provides an intimate location for up to 40 guests for cooking classes, special events and intimate dining.

ANCIENT ROMAN DINNER A special dinner inspired by ancient Roman recipes. Guests enjoy a seated meals based on extensive research of Apicius, the oldest collection of recipes to survive from antiquity, De Re Coquinaria: “The Art of Cooking”.

COOKING CLASS Want to learn the secrets of the famed Mediterranean Diet? Our third floor facilities offer a cultural immersion with food, via our demonstration kitchen. Designed for students and food lovers alike, this practical course reveals all of the ingredients of the local cuisine, from the unique seafood of the region to insights about the famous pasta and pasta dishes that are such an important part of local life and flavor.
