The Point is conveniently located in Broomes Island, Maryland. The loca on is just several miles by car or boat from the popular tourist des na on of Solomons Island. Both waterman-founded communi es are a short drive from the District of Columbia and Bal more. If you prefer to travel by water, docking slips are available.
Our quaint guest house has been fully renovated to provide overnight accommoda ons. It is located just steps from our restaurant and wedding pavilion at The Point. Enjoy the ameni es of a full kitchen and spacious living areas while spending me with family and friends.
Located a stroll away from our event tent is The Boat Bar. The charter fi shing boat, dry docked at its fi nal res ng place, is a tes mony to the watermen who founded Broomes Island. It now serves as a fully func onal bar. This renovated beauty, with its curved hull and Brazilian cherry bar top, provides an ideal loca on for a cocktail hour and is available during your event at The Point. The Point is an aff ordable, elegant, and unique loca on that will provide the perfect backdrop for your “happily ever a er”. Our venue off ers you the opportunity to have both your ceremony and wedding in the same convenient loca on. The grounds feature a large wedding tent, a beach area, a waterfall oasis, manicured lawns fi lled with lush landscaping, and the charming Boat Bar. This beau ful “open air theatre” provides the perfect framework to host the wedding of your dreams.
Rental of The Point includes use of the wedding tent, ceremony chairs for use on the lawn or beach, dinner tables, china, fl atware and glassware for your recep on. There are many variables that aff ect the rental fee including the me of year, me of day, and season. We can assist you in making choices that will fi t your par cular budget. Wedding area rentals are approximately $1500 to $3000 for four hours and include use of our bridal suite accommoda ons before the event. Addi onal op ons such as use of the guest house overnight, or a charter boat tour of the Chesapeake, are available.
