Index to Volumes 1-8, 1957-67 (First Series) Compiled by Ioyce Post References are first to the volume, shown in bold type, then to the part, and finally to the page number. In January and April 1963 the system of numbering was changed, the two parts being numbered 25 and 26 respectively; in fact they were parts 5 and 6 of the fourth volume, and have been shown as such in this index. Volume one of the journal, issued under the title P.L.A. Quarterly, was issued in six parts, 1957-8; volume two was also in six parts, 1958-9; volun~esthree and four, 1960-3, were each in eight parts; volumes five to eight, 1964-8, were all in four parts. The editors of the first series of the journal were Roderick Cave (volumes I and 2), PhilipWard (volumes 3 to 6 number 3), Roderick Cave (volume 6 number 4 and volume 7), Roderick Cave and Geoffreywakernan (volume 8).
