OUR VALUES Worship (SERVE) “Love the Lord your God with all your heart.” Ministry (RETURN) “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Evangelism (TEAM) “Go and make disciples” Fellowship: (PLAY) “Baptizing them” Discipleship: (GROW) “Teaching them to obey” 2 OUR CALL AND HISTORY “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is older, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 2000 Match Point Ministries (501 c3) was co-founded by Scott Williams and Ryan Fitzwilliam to lead tennis players to Jesus Christ becoming one of the first active tennis ministries in the United States. 2002 Scott Williams authored Serious Tennis book with Human Kinetics publishing and partnered with Gold Coast Fellowship of Christian Athletes to organize and run tennis camps distributing FCA bibles. 2003 Match Point Ministries runs its first Professional Tennis Tournament co-partnering with Daniel Chapter One. 2006 Spiritually Tough Tennis summer camps begin with 50 students for 11 weeks. Daily Heart of an Athlete FCA devotionals/ invitations to Christ given. New souls saved weekly for Jesus. 2008 MPM partners with FCA to host First Annual Celebrity Golf and Tennis Classic in Boca Raton. 2009 MPM inaugural Prayer Breakfast with Pros at Delray Beach ATP Tour event. Bryan Brothers award winners. 3 MORE HISTORY 2011-12 The 3rd Annual Breakfast with the Ace Pro awards and family clinic with former Top 5 ATP Pro, David Wheaton. Coach Scott Williams leads boys and girls teams to several Florida State Championships. Authors his second book with Joey Rive titled “Skills and Drills” published by Human Kinetic Publishers. 2014 MPM partner with Grace Place in Ft. Lauderdale. A group of ten at-risk teens join us for two weeks participating in soccer and tennis. FCA bibles are given to the teens. Eight of the teens accept Christ into their hearts! MPM holds the 8th annual Celebrity Golf and Tennis Classic with Keynote Speaker Wally Armstrong and hosted by NFL/NCAA player Michael Blanc with former top professional tennis players, Roscoe Tanner, Van Winitsky and Brenda Schultz-McCarthy playing in the event. 2015 Coach Williams travels on the Men’s Pro Tour again with Tommy Haas. Coach Williams also coaches team Florida to a Bronze medal finish at the Nationals in Auburn, Alabama. The Holy Spirit leads Coach Williams and his family to The King’s Academy where Fellowship of Christian Athletes 4 Tennis begins. If someone does question you on a line call or a ruling Tennis you have the right to remove them/ask them to leave the playing area. Should they refuse to leave the playing area, let them and the player know that the cheat sheet player will now receive a code violation related to this action and will continue to do so until either one of two things occur – Rules and a) The parent/spectator leaves the area b) The player reaches his or her 3rd code violation and is defaulted from match play. Etiquette Parent/Spectator Continues to be Unruly: These are grounds for immediate removal from the playing area and facility. Should they refuse to leave the premises and having gone through Code Violations, then do Guidelines not hesitate to contact security or the police to have them removed.
