For awarding prizes for the Recitation competitions, the following groups will be formed: Group I : Pre-KG Group II : LKG Group III : UKG Group IV : Std. 1 & II Group V : Std. III & IV Group VI : Std. V & VI Group VII : Std. VII & VIII Group VIII : Std. IX & X Group IX : Std. XI & XII 3. Three prizes will be awarded for each group. 4. Prizes will be awarded for boys and girls together. 5. Depending upon the number of candidates, the judges may regroup the standards at their discretion. 6. The decisions of judges in awarding prizes are final. 7. Depending upon the number of students participating, the Recitation competition will be held in two rounds, namely Semi-finals and finals.

SEMI - FINAL 1. Five rounds of questions with one question per round for each team. Time to answer each question will be 30 seconds. 2. Each question carries 10 marks. 3. If the team fails to answer the question during its turn, the question passes on to the next team and so on and the team that answers the question gets five marks.

FINAL 4. Teams winning I, II & III places in the semifinal will participate in the finals. 5. Other rules are the same as for semi-finals. 6. The decisions of the Quiz Master are final.

NOTE 7. Each school can send a maximum of only two teams, each team consisting of two students. 8. Teams are divided into two or more groups depending on the number of entries. 9. Quiz Master’s decision is final on the number of rounds to be conducted and also whether Semi Finals and Finals will be conducted.

NOTE:  The organizers will provide the drawing papers only.  A short story describing the above topics is available in our website www.jetchennai.org  The students can chose any method of drawing and colouring namely colour pencils, crayons, water colours etc.  First, Second and Third prizes will be given for each of the categories separately.  Winners of the competition will be announced and the prizes will be distributed on the same day.  Decisions of the judges are final.  Students can register their names directly if their schools do not forward their application.

Instructions: 1. Registration fee – Rs.200/- per team should be sent in favour of “JEEYAR EDUCATIONAL TRUST” by cheque/DD along with the student name list by courier. Registrations for Bhajan Competitions through any other means such as email, phone, message etc. will not be accepted and recognized. Registration fee is non-refundable. 2. Bhajans should ONLY be on the above-mentioned topics. 3. Schools students will be classified into 2 groups:- Group I – Pre-Kg to Std. V Group II – Std. VI to Std. XII 4. Each school can send only 1 team for each Group consisting of a minimum of 6 students and a maximum of 10 students. The team should consist of students from classes Pre-KG to Std. V for Group I and Std. VI to Std. XII for Group II. Each team can sing for a maximum period of 15 minutes. 5. At least song should be on Bhagavad Ramanujacharya followed by Naamavali. 6. The winning team will get a group prize. Group Prize will be given to the school. 7. Deciding on the number of schools participating, the competitions will be held in 2 rounds – Semi Finals and Finals. First, Second and Third prizes will be awarded for the groups depending on the number of entries. 8. The students should bring their own musical instruments. As we cannot guarantee power supply, the musical instruments should be battery operated. 9. The participating students should not wear school uniforms. Teams with school uniforms will not be allowed to participate. This is to facilitate impartial judgement of the participating teams. 10. Last date for receipt of applications is 15th August, 2017
