Wir machen voran!an! Herzlich Willkommen! Vor 42 Jahren haben wir Waltroper zum ersten Mal unseren Stadtpark gefeiert. Es war sein erster Geburtstag. Jetzt ma- chen wir das jedes Jahr. Heute feiern wir nicht mehr nur unsere grüne Lunge, sondern auch die Musik, die Kunst, die Kleinkunst und kulinarische Köstlichkeiten. Wir feiern Spiel und Spaß. Mit der ganzen Familie. Und dabei drehen wir am großen Rad. Auch in diesem Jahr wieder! Sir Bob Geldof kommt nach Waltrop. Genau wie die britische Synth-Pop-Legende ABC oder die deutschen Popstars Ma- xim, Nosliw, Großstadtgeflüster oder Lotte. Es gibt Kleinkunst und Comedy in Hülle und Fülle. Und krachende Partys mit Jan-Christian Zeller, Max Grae und den besten DJs aus dem Ostvest. Wir bauen das größte Spielfest der Region, fahren auf dem größten Riesenrad der Region und flanieren über die größte Vereinsmeile der Region. Mit der Region, versteht sich. Und mit unseren Gästen von weiter weg. Genau wie mit unse- ren Nachbarn und all den Ex-Waltropern, die nicht nur an Weih- nachten nach Hause kommen, sondern auch für ihr Parkfest.
