Steven Manuel Ortiz of Linden, N.J. won the Allstate "Good Hands top goalkeeper award at Sueño MLS, it was announced on Sunday, May 18th. The 14-year-old Ortiz, who became the youngest keeper to win the award, was invited to join one of the Red Bulls Academy teams. He was discovered at local tryouts. Oritz had good reaction skills, presence, and was referred by scouts as the complete goalkeeper.
