  • Sportscar Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
Contact: SRT Motorsports Captures GTLM Pole Position at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park July 11, 2014, BOWMANVILLE, Ontario, Canada - SRT (Street and Racing Technology) Motorsports won its second pole of the inaugural IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season, and second in a row at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, when Canada-native Kuno Wittmer topped GTLM qualifying for Sunday’s SportsCar Grand Prix in the No. 93 Dodge Viper SRT GTS-R on Saturday. Wittmer, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, turned a top lap of 1:15.206 (117.709 mph) on his third lap early in the timed 15-minute session. The pole was Wittmer’s first in IMSA competition and he joined teammate Marc Goossens, who won the pole at the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona, as 2014 pole winners for SRT Motorsports. Wittmer co-drives with teammate Jonathan Bomarito, who drove the No. 93 to the GT pole position at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in 2013. The sister No. 91 Dodge Viper SRT GTS-R was qualified by Dominik Farnbacher and will start on the inside of row four on the grid. Farnbacher clocked in with a top lap time of 1:15.728 (116.897 mph) to start seventh with teammate Goossens. Wittmer is the fourth and final full-time SRT Motorsports driver to win a pole in IMSA GT competition. In addition to Goossens’ pole in January at Daytona International Speedway and Bomarito’s 2013 poles at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park and Wisconsin’s Road America, Farnbacher won the pole in 2013 on the street circuit in Long Beach, Calif.

  • Kumpen En Longin Opnieuw Aan Het Feest
Nascar Whelen Euro Series 2016 - 2.

THE CITRUS SPIEL THE OFFICIAL NEWSLETTER OF THE CITRUS REGION PORSCHE CLUB OF AMERICA Volume 35 - Number 12 December 2009 Porsche “Wins” Challenge Rally But the Real Winner was the Russell Home for Atypical Children Photos by Chuck Hennings and Cindy Anderson The day before the 23rd Annual Challenge Rally, only 34 cars were pre-registered but Bill Davis, RallyMas- ter/Registrar, said “not to worry” as historically there are large numbers of “walk-ins” . Bill was right! Fifty more cars were registered the morning of the Rally for a total of 84. The winning marque in the “challenge” part of the event was Porsche with 41 cars, followed by BMW with 19, 9 each Audis and Mercedes, 2 Fer- raris, 1 Lotus and 3 others. The real winner, however, as planned, was the Russell Home for Atypical Children for which $3540 was raised. There was a People’s Choice Award which was won by Martin and Dottie Stickley in their 1967 Mercedes 300E convertible (see photo). The winners of the Rally itself were David Junkins and Bill Davis, RallyMaster Holds Driver’s Meeting Louisa Chu in an 1997 BMW M3 (see photo page 4). The weather was perfect for the 122.2 mile jaunt north of Orlando and ended at the Bahama Breeze in Altamonte Springs where we were well treated despite the larger numbers showing up than projected.
