    Ovens Murray

    Ovens Murray Infrastructure Victoria is investigating infrastructure investment in regional Victoria that builds on the economic strengths of a region, or that reduces disadvantage, primarily through providing greater access to services and economic opportunities. This fact sheet is focussed on reducing disadvantage, and should be read in conjunction with the accompanying framework for reducing disadvantage through infrastructure. The purpose of this fact sheet is to provide evidence that will inform the problem definition for each of Victoria’s nine regions through consultation with stakeholders. The project has a specific focus on areas that experience relatively high levels of disadvantage (ranked in the bottom 30% of the index of Socio-Economic Disadvantage, SEIFA) and this fact sheet provides indicators showing poor outcomes for key demographic groups living in these areas. Infrastructure Victoria invites key stakeholders and service providers to make submissions that provide evidence on which infrastructure could make a difference in reducing disadvantage for the region. Around 1885 Tallangatta (the red caps), Mitta Mitta (Snowy’s) and Allan’s Flat fielded teams but there was no official League or draw set up in those days. Tallangatta was often referred to as Mitta Valley with red, white and blue as their team colours and the Allans Flat team were judged by their size and weight. In their first game that year Allan’s Flat was soundly defeated by a more streamlined and fitter Tallangatta combination played at Tallangatta. The games were organized weeks before so the clubs could train and organize the teams and transport. Travel was a major factor in those days with horse drawn drags, coaches, horseback or walking the common mode of travel until the arrival of rail. The drags held about 20 people with the majority of the team and supporters meeting at the pub Saturday morning and heading off about 7am arriving about midday. A lot of the time the teams struggled for numbers but generally the games went ahead anyway with players borrowed from the opposition. After the game the home team would host a function with the club President toasting his counterpart in a gentlemanly fashion and being returned the compliment. The visitors would return home that night or the next morning. Tallangatta Football Team were undefeated in 1885. A meeting of the Tallangatta Football Club was held at the Court House Thursday Evening May 27th1886.

Directions: From Mansfield: Head east on Mt Buller Rd through Sawmill Settlement, left (north) on Carters Rd (unsealed), cross Plain Creek, signed access track on right. 4 The Delatite Arm Reserve The Delatite Arm Reserve (also known as The Pines) is situated along the shores of Lake Eildon and adjacent to bushland. The reserve is very popular for camping, water sports, scenic views and fishing .Access to lake. Informal boat ramps. Directions: From Mansfield: From Mansfield east on Mt Buller Rd 4km, south on Mansfield – Woods Point Rd for 9.5km and turn right (west) on Piries - Gough’s Bay Rd.

Summary of Personal Interests Returns In accordance with s135 of the Local Government Act 2020 and r10 of the Local Government (Governance and Integrity) Regulations 2020 the Chief Executive Officer must prepare a summary of the personal interests information disclosed in the last personal interests return lodged by specified persons. The summary of personal interests must include: - the name of the person completing the personal interests return - all positions held by the person as a Councillor, member of a delegated committee, or member of Council staff - the date the person lodged the preceding personal interests return - the town or suburb, but not the street address or number of the land that is the place of residence of a person as disclosed in the personal interests return. - a summary of the information disclosed in the person's preceding personal interests return, except the following items: - the monetary value or amount of any of the following: income, shares, beneficial interests other than income or shares; or any debt. - the street address and number of any land owned by the specified person, or in which the specified person has a beneficial interest, if the land is the principal place of residence of any person. - information which the person has requested in writing not to be included. Section 132 of the Local Government Act 2020 provides the following definitions: A specified person means: a) a Councillor; or b) a member of a delegated committee who is not a Councillor; or c) a Chief Executive Officer; or d) a nominated officer.
