Ms. No.116, Health and Family Welfare (EAP-II) Department, dated: 25.03.2011. 2) From the Mission Director, State Health Society letter No. 5849/S/13-1, dated: 16.07.2013 ***** ORDER: The Mission Director, State Health Society in his letter 2nd read above has stated that it has been proposed to strengthen the existing infrastructure in Primary Health Centers (PHCs) by provision of additional facilities under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) such as antenatal wards, postnatal wards, labour room, operation theatre and area extension to accommodate specialized Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Care Services, in order to cope up with additional service demands. Provision of Staff Nurse Quarters is also considered to be essential to improve the service delivery in PHCs, especially to provide facilities for additional service delivery loads operationalization of 24 hours services. It is proposed to construct Staff Nurse Quarters in 410 PHCs in the year 2013-14, to strengthen the PHCs. In this regard, a detailed proposal for the construction of Staff Nurse Quarters in 410 PHCs was included in Project Implementation Plan (PIP) 2013-14 and the National Project Coordination Committee (NPCC) had approved the proposal for the construction of Staff Nurse Quarters in 378 PHCs with initial allocation of funds of Rs.2929.50 lakh. As the non recurring cost for the construction of Staff Nurse Quarters in 378 PHCs at Rs.15.50 lakh each was approved at 50% for the year 2013-14 and the balance amount is to be proposed in the PIP for the year 2014-15. 2) The Mission Director, State Health Soci-etyhas stated further that as per the orders issued in the G.O. (Ms) No.116 Health and Family Welfare Department, dated 25.3.2011, the funds approved by Government of India for civil works under NRHM have to be remitted to Government account under receipt head and the funds have to , . be drawn by the Public Works Department (PWD) for the execution of the work.He has requested the Government to issue necessary Government Orders sanctioning funds for the construction of Staff Nurse Quarters in 378 PHCs. 3) The Government after careful consideration has decided to accept the proposals of the Mission Director, State Health Society and they accordingly issue the following orders: i. The Mission Director, State Health SOcietyis permitted to construct Staff Nurse Quarters in 378 PHCs indicated in the annexure to this Government Order at a total cost of Rs.58,59,OOOI- ii. Sanction is accorded to an amount of Rs.58,59,OOOI- crore (Rupees fifty eight crore and fifty nine lakh only) to the Chief Engineer (Building), PWD, Chennai-5 for construction of Staff Nurse Quarters in 378 PHCs indicated in the annexure to this Government Order at the rate of Rs.15.50 lakh per PHC as per the proceedings of the Mission Director, State Health Society. iii. The Mission Director, State Health Society, Tamil Nadu, Chennai is permitted to remit the funds of Rs.2929.50 lakh approved in PIP 2013-14 for the civil works into the following Government receipt head: "0210-Medical and Public Health 02-Rural Health Service - 800 other Receipts AD Receipts from Government of India for National Rural Health Mission ~tVorks(DPe 0210-02-800-AD- 0002)" He should remit the balance amount of Rs.2929.50 lakh after approval by the Government of India in PIP 2014-15 in to the State Government account and send a report to the Government. iv) The Mission Director, State Health Society, is permitted to change the PHCs for the construction of Staff Nurse Quarters and cost of work on the basis of availability of site and local requirements subject to not exceeding the total funds approved. 4) The expenditure sanctioned in para 3 above shall be debited to the following head of account: "4211-00-Capital Outlay on Family Welfare - 103 Maternity and Child Health - Schemes in the Twelfth Five Year Plan - III. LOCATION AND AREA After the bifurcation of Krishnagiri District from Dharmapuri District, the present Dharmapuri District is located approximately between 11o 47” and 12o33” of the North Latitude and between 77o 02” and 78o. 40’30” of east longitude.   • Introduction the Chennai Basin Group Rivers Are Situated Between
    CHENNAI BASIN Introduction The Chennai basin group rivers are situated between latitudes 12o 30’ 00’’ to 13 o35’00’’ N and longitudes 79o15’00’’ to 80o22’30’’E and is located into the northern part of Tamil Nadu. The Chennai Basin Group of rivers is Araniar, Korattalaiyar or Kosasthalaiyar, Cooum and Adyar and small minor stream on the southern part of the basin. The Chennai basin comprises of 8 sub basins as shown in Plate:CHE-02. The northern part of Chennai basin is occupied by Andhra Pradesh and Pulicat lake, south and west by the Palar river basin and east by Bay of Bengal. The total geographical area of Chennai basin within Tamil Nadu is 6118.34 sq km totally. It covers in the Survey of India toposheets 57‘O’, 57 ‘P’, 66’C’, and 66 ‘D’ and it also covers in Chennai, Kancheepuram, Thiruvallur and Vellore districts.
