Faith Reformed Baptist Church Sunday School Curriculum Project

Purpose:

The purpose of this project is to prepare a cyclical Sunday School curriculum for use by Calvinistic Baptist Churches for children and young people from age 3 through high school, that is both substantial in Biblical content and doctrinally compatible with the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith.

This project was started in 1982. The material has been used in Faith Reformed Baptist Church for a number of years with considerable success. And largely through word-of-mouth publicity, orders have been received for all or part of the curriculum from over seventy other churches around the country.

About the authors:

Bob Walton – The project editor and major writer for grades 7-12, Bob is an elder, Sunday School superintendent, and adult Sunday School teacher at FRBC, and has been teaching high school Bible in Christian schools for over 25 years. He is the author of Chronological and Background Charts of Church History (Zondervan, 1986) and Making Dry Bones Live (a church history text book, as yet unpublished, designed for use by high school and college students).

Chris Walton – The author of the material for grades 1-2 and 5-6 is a long- time Sunday School teacher, substitute teacher in Christian schools, and tutor. She also had to cope with the disadvantage of having her husband edit her writing.

Laura Sweet – A free-lance writer from Midland, Michigan and former editor of the newsletter of the Sovereign Grace Baprist churches in her area, Laura is the author of the material for grades 3-4 and preschool.

Rick Horne – The author of the high school units on teen sexuality and career stewardship is an elder, Christian school guidance counselor, and well-traveled speaker on matters concerning Christian education. He is the author of How Much Spring Is In Your Diving Board? (ACSI, 1995) Cost: As of September 1, 2005, we instituted new pricing and distribution options for the curriculum. The material is now available in two forms - electronic and the standard hard copy. The electronic version will continue to cost $25 per quarter, while the hard-copy version will now sell for $30 per quarter (after over 20 years at the same price, the cost of materials necessitated an increase here). If you would like the electronic version, please specify both the delivery method (CD or e-mail attachment) and the format (MS Word or WordPerfect). Those who purchase the lessons may duplicate them as necessary for their own use (we would appreciate it if you wouldn't make copies and pass them around to other churches, of course). Since the lessons are cyclical, it is not necessary to purchase new materials every year.

If you wish to place an order for any of the available curriculum, write to the e-mail or "snail mail" address below. Be sure to include your name, the church's name, address, phone number and e-mail address (if appropriate), along with a list of the materials you wish to purchase. Please send a check for the appropriate amount with your order, made out to the editor, not the church (for those outside the United States, prices are in US dollars). Materials will be shipped as soon as a check for the appropriate amount is received.
