It covers 243290 Km2. The state is also divided into 9 agro-climatic zones. The central agro-climatic zone of Uttar Pradesh contains 14 districts. Out of 14 districts 4 districts were selected for the study Agriculture mechanization also helps in improving safety and comfort of the agricultural worker, improvements in the quality and value addition of the farm produce and also enabling the K e yw or ds farmers to take second and subsequent crops making Indian agriculture more attractive and profitable. There is a linear relationship between availability of farm power and farm yield. Mechanization In India, there is a need to increase the availability of farm power from 2.02 kW per ha index, Power (2016-17) to 4.0 kW per ha by the end of 2030 to cope up with increasing demand of food Availability, Total grains. Primary data was collected from various stakeholders constitute forty growers and two and three mediators operating at each level of marketing channels. The study examined marketing costs, market margins, price spread and problems involved in the marketing of green chilli. Chilli cultivated in Kaushambi district was predominantly sold in the form of green chilli. Manjhanpur Block of Kaushambi district having largest area under green chilli were purposively selected for the present investigation and seven villages from Manjhanpur Block were selected randomly. The total sample consists of 120 green chilli growers comprising 60, 36 and 24 from small, medium and large group. Data collected pertained to the year 2014- 2015. Different marketing channels were followed by the sample farmers. However, Producer-Wholesaler/ Commission agent/Retailer-Consumer was the major marketing channel.
