Rivermead Cottage (Sleeps 8) This Holiday Home Is Steeped in Character and Possesses a Wealth of Period Features Extensive facilities without leaving the estate We have five self-catering properties: four cosy apartments within the barn and one detached period cottage. They sleep 2 to 8 guests individually or a total of 20 if all properties are combined, making Rivermead an ideal choice if you are planning a larger gathering. We offer restful harmony and comfort amidst the backdrop of an anglers’ paradise. From Rivermead Farm there are stunning uninterrupted views of rolling farmland, mature spruce forests, natural woodland and livestock in adjoining fields. Rivermead overlooks a natural scenic slope that gradually descends to the River Fowey. These delightful surroundings provide an enchanting environment for all ages. Guests can enjoy walking in our secluded 17 acre estate with its woods, copses, lake and river access. During your stay it is possible to see otters, badgers, foxes, wild deer, Canadian wild geese, kingfishers, owls, herons, mallards, blue tits, finches, moorhens, nuthatches, robins, woodpeckers and hovering birds of prey. Rivermead is ideal for any age. Keep fit walking around the estate or use the fitness trail; children can play safely on the extensive grass areas; use the Petanque court and Swing Ball or just chill out with a glass of wine beside the lake. There are picnic tables outside all of the properties. Bike hire is also available locally. Fishing “The River Fowey is one of the best and prettiest Sea Trout Rivers in England” Independent Game Fishing Guide The river also has the best late autumn salmon fishing in the country, remaining open until December 15th. Rivermead Farm lake is well stocked with mature brown trout, making it an anglers’ paradise for a full nine months of the year. Both the salmon and sea trout thrive by spawning in the pure upland waters of Bodmin moor. After 20 miles, the tributaries meet just above Rivermead Farm at Twowatersfoot. Whether you are an experienced fisherman or novice you can relax down by the river and pit your wits against nature. The renowned Kingfisher pool at Rivermead Farm is one of the best fishing locations on the whole River Fowey. A ghillie can be hired by separate negotiation and booked in advance. Fishing trips can be arranged for sea fishing with Looe fishermen. There is a rod room for the storage of equipment, wet gear and footwear. Changeover day: Saturday Rivermead Cottage (sleeps 8) This holiday home is steeped in character and possesses a wealth of period features. It provides a heartening change for any family or group of friends hoping to enjoy their own Ground floor 'escape to the country'. Ground Floor Sitting room - Contains comfy furnishings in keeping with the rustic setting, adorned by selected artwork including paintings by local artists. There is an Inglenook fireplace with a functioning wood burning stove and a traditional low ceiling Floor plans approximate, for guidance only with exposed beams. Kitchen - is fully equipped with utensils, electric hob and First floor oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and a farmhouse table that seats eight. Bedroom One - A pretty twin bedded room with a period ceiling of exposed beams, a south facing aspect showing that it is indeed a room with a view. There is a small hallway leading from this bedroom with access to a shower/wc room. First Floor Bedroom Two - Connecting with the above mentioned small hallway is a set of stairs leading to an exceptionally bright loft space with three windows. Its unique appeal is that it gives the impression of being set apart from the hub of the cottage. Bedroom Three - A charming double room of fresh crisp linens enhancing Toile furnishings. The room is south facing with splendid views. Bedroom Four - Co-ordinated floral designs lend a light bright ambiance to this relaxing twin room, again with remarkable south facing views. Household Bathroom - Full length bath and separate shower cubicle with hand wash basin and WC, all contained in the one room.     Information Classification: CONTROLLED Guidance for organising Trail races and events on the Camel Trail The Camel Trail is a eighteen mile multi-use route running from the fringe of Bodmin Moor to the mouth of the Camel Estuary at Padstow with a short on road section through Wadebridge. The trail attracts in excess of 500,000 visitors per annum and is enjoyed by walkers, cyclists and horse riders, with many wheelchair and less able users appreciating the ease of access. The Camel Trail is a permissive path and open throughout the year. The Camel Trail is managed through The Camel Trail Partnership. This involves Cornwall Council, Town and Parish Councils, Natural England, The Environment Agency, Forestry Commission, local Chambers of Commerce and Padstow Harbour Commissioners who determine policy and provide guidance for the long term development of the trail . The day to day running of the trail is managed by Cormac Solutions Ltd to agreed standards set by Cornwall Council. These notes are designed to assist you in planning, preparing, implementing your event. Event Planning We acknowledge that depending on the scale and type of activity the amount of information required will vary. However as a minimum Cornwall Council require you to undertake a comprehensive risk assessment and provide details of how you will manage the event and deal with any unforeseen problems. In addition you will need to provide a copy of your insurance certificate for the event and any other licences required from the local authority. For Cornwall Council to give permission for the use of its property in any public event, Cornwall Council requires: • A minimum of 6 months notice for large events, 3 months for small events.

    St Breward Parish Council Footpath Paring Schedule for 2019/2020 Tenders are invited for the maintenance of the Public Footpaths in St Breward Parish from suitably qualified contractors. Persons wishing to tender for this work must have the required insurance, and be prepared to wear protective clothing where necessary. Users of chain saws must have the appropriate operating certificate. A suggested width for a footpath is 1.5 metres with a height of 2 metres. Single cuts should by typically undertaken in June. 2 Cuts: First cut should typically be undertaken between May & July and the second cut between August & September. 3 cuts: These are to be undertaken at a time agreed by the contractor and the Parish Council. A key part of the Scalefour North atmosphere is the social connections that bring such a buzz to the show. It really is an event where finescale modellers, regardless of the scale or gauge in which they work, gather to share experiences, learn new techniques, stock up on the essential supplies, and, above all, meet old friends and make new ones. To this end we will have a large refreshment area available again, with locally prepared food and drink provided by the Crocodile Sisters. The substantial lunches are now as much a part of the show as the famous Bring and Buy stall, staffed once again by volunteers from the Manchester Area Group.
