Solar City had a referral program for $250.00 if I brought a new customer and the customer went solar, which I did. The new customer could not remember my last name during the referral process at Home Depot. The rep said that would not be a problem and to just let the sales rep "***** *******" know when he arrived at their house to sign the paperwork. The new customer did so and "***** *******" mentioned this referring name had to be provided to the initial contact at Home Depot. Which at the time said just let "***** *******" know and it will be fine.

Executive Summary: Findings and Recommendations Current legislation (26 USC §25D and 26 USC §48) stipulates that the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) for solar installations will be reduced from its current 30% rate to 10% on January 1, 2017 for solar energy systems.1 The ITC was initially created as part of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (P.L. 109-58) and extended through December 31, 2016 with the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (P.L. 110-343). Since its inception, the solar ITC has been a significant federal mechanism to spur rapid growth in the deployment of solar PV systems. In conjunction with the depreciation tax shield provided through the Modified Accelerated Cost-Reduction System (MACRS), the ITC has played a significant role in promoting new investments in solar installations and manufacturing capacity for solar systems, including modules and electric systems.

Although the company’s roots can be traced back over fifty years, within nine months SunEdison went from being worth almost $10 billion, with shares trading at $33.44 in July 2015, to only $400 million.39 At one point, ​ SunEdison was the largest renewable asset developer in the world, hailed by leaders in both the private and public sector.
