CENTRALIA’S AVENUE OF FLAGS The Avenue of Flags will proudly display at least 487 flags during the Veterans Day holiday at the Centralia City Cemetery. Weather permitting, flags will be raised Monday, November 9th at 3:00 p.m. Flags will be taken down Thursday, Nov. 12th at 3:00 p.m. Many volunteers are needed for both! Please meet at the Veteran’s flag display at3 p.m. for the Pledge of Allegiance before starting. We are asking all volunteers to please park on the side streets instead of in the cemetery to allow room for the truck and trailer to drop the flag poles. Those Undergoing/Recovering from Surgeries or Broken Bones; Physical Therapy/Rehab: Roxanne Hess: triple bypass surgery on October 29th. (Grandmother of Izac & Nathan Crandall). Those with Ongoing Concerns: Lois Mellor: skin cancer removed from face; cancer invaded nerves, to have 20 radiation treatments. upd. 11-5 Linda Marshall: has been having a great deal of pain in hand/wrist - arthritis & probable carpal tunnel. 10-30-20 Kathy Lumb: still not feeling very well, and still waiting to get in to see the doctor. 10-27-20 Sharon Tawney: root canal/temp dental work went ok; having some bleeding; to have more work week of 11/1. Nita: very ill with Covid; on ventilator for over 3 weeks, induced coma. Lifted up by Debby Schwennesen. 10/19 Anna: diagnosed with M.S. (Elyse Travis’ college roommate) 10-18-20. Lacey Pavlak: shoulder injury in her throwing arm; MRI rescheduled for Nov. 9th. Updated 10-27-20 Others: Greg & Karen Colvin - OR fires. Those Battling Cancer: Betsy Timmerberg: breast biopsy; localized cancer caught early! To see oncology surgeon Nov. 13th. Cathi Grace: very weak and sleeping much of the time. Updated 10-27-20 A.C. Cummins: some pain in right side/rib cage; per insurance, had to repeat CT and MRI. Updated 10-25-20 Keith Schnarre: diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer. Began radiation week of Oct. 26 for 7-8 weeks. Charlie & Annette Wells: Charlie- stage 4 oral cancer, part of jaw removed. Annette - Jerry & Barb Colvin’s niece. Bob Pittman: CT scan Oct. 12th, biopsy on Oct. 15th (kidney); colonoscopy Oct. 22nd. Others: Deanna Church, Fr.
