INTERNATIONAL EXPEDITIONS | ICONIC SOUTH AMERICA Know Before You Go

For most activities, a moderate level of exertion is required. You must be able to walk moderate distances over sometimes rough and uneven terrain, such as cobblestones and trails with exposed roots and rocks and navigate stairs that can be uneven and without handrails. Sightseeing in the Iguazu Falls region requires walking on slippery trails and unpaved surfaces as well as up and down stairs and along an elevated catwalk. Some people may be affected by the altitude in Cusco and Machu Picchu where you will be at an elevation of over 11,000 feet. The most common symptoms are headache and/or fatigue and dizziness. If concerned about altitude sickness, please ask your physician about medications that may be suitable for you.

Temperatures will range from the high-50sºF to the low 80sºF, CUSCO depending on our location, with precipitation to be expected.
