The plug ins in Spain is regular European one. Typical dishes are those based in a mediterranean diet and those in which rice is the main ingredient: paella, arròs del senyoret, fideuà. Moreover, we can’t forget about those dishes made pimarily with fish from the bay like “Llauna de Calp” or “pescadito frito” Beaches Calp offers 13 kilometers of coastline with 14 beaches and coves, allowing you to choose from endless beaches with fine golden sand, tranquil bays, small sandy coves or pristine rocky shores by cliffs, all recognized for the purity of their clean waters, which are an unmistakable turquoise. Arenal-Bol and La Fossa-Levante are sandy urban beaches where you can go for a rela- xing stroll or enjoy sports and aquatic activities, which are available due to a wide variety of services and facilities. Calpe also has over 5 km of beautiful cliffs, including the Peñón de Ifach, Toix, and La Man- zanera. You’ll also find lovely, tranquil coves sculpted by the wind and sea that are sur- rounded by vegetation, including El Penyal, Les Bassetes, and El Racó, magical places where diving, fishing, and sailing become unforgettable experiences. ARENAL-BOL BEACH LA FOSSA-LEVANTE DREAM THEATER If you want to know more about Calp’s beaches, click here: http://en.calpe.es/ver/11/beaches.html We also do recommend you a walk by the seaside ecological path between Calp and Benissa This coastline is covered by an ecological path with several sections that you can travel practically throughout the year due to the mild climate and suitable for all audiences as it is quite comfortable and perfectly conditioned. Throughout the tour we have informative panels that describe various aspects of our local culture, our history, or our botanical or geological aspects. The best route to do in Calpe is a 2’5km route (go and back), that starts in cala CALALGA and arrives to PUERTO DE LES BASSETES (between Calp and Benissa). It’s an easy path although there are some sections with stairs. It’s a wonderful walk, surrounded by the beautiful beaches and the magnificient Peñón. When you arrive to PUERTO DE LES BASSETES you can find the Nautical Club where is located also a diving center and a restaurant. It is a very quiet space to rest before embarking on the way back. Don’t forget your water slippers!! Europass is a tool to document and recognise learning outcomes from erasmus projects.     Restoration works of the Plant Micro-reserve and Site of Community Importance (SCI) of The Cat Head (Helianthemum caput-felis) is a small shrub that grows in Northern Africa (Algeria, Moroc- co, Melilla), Sardinia, Italy, Balearic Islands and the coastline of the province of Alicante (municipalities of Teulada, Benissa, Calp, Torrevieja, Orihuela and Pi- lar de la Horadada). Its owns its peculiar name to the resemblance of its flower buds to a cat’s head. The Cat Head grows in open coastal shrublands, with high insolation, on calcareous soils. It’s a plant protected by European, Spanish and Valencian regulations. In fact, it is included in Spani- sh and Valencian catalogues of threatened species within the Vulnerable category. The most important Spanish population is found in the South of the Alicante province, with 20.400 specimens (Balearic Islands: 6.800, northeast of the Alicante province: 2.810, Melilla: 700). There are 7 plant micro-reserves where the Cat Head grows in the Valencian Community. One of them is “Rambla de las Estacas”, declared in 1999. It is located in the municipality of Orihuela, and covers an area of 0,195 hectares. In 2001 this micro-reserve was declared Site of Community Interest (SCI) and thus forms part of the European network of protected areas NATURA 2000. Both the micro-reserve and the SCI are located within the residential areas of the Plan Parcial C2 Playa Flamenca. Currently the natural ve- getation is being displaced by inva- sive alien species (such as the giant cane, acacia, castor-oil plant...) and there are accumulations of garden waste, as well as debris and rubble of diverse origins.

IECMA 9 LA REPRESSIÓ DURANT LA GUERRA CIVIL A LA MARINA ALTA Teresa Ballester Artigues RESUM: La repressió durant el període de guerra a l’any 1936, es va produir en els primers mesos entre agost i novembre. Cal distingir dos tipus de repressió, la incontrolada, i la que va seguir la via legal de detencions de religiosos i persones destacades en les files dels partits de dreta, que foren empresonades i jutjades per un Tribunal Popular. En la repressió incontrolada, es va utilitzar el sistema dels “paseos”, amb el cotxe denominat la “Pepa”, les persones escollides eren conduïdes a un determinat lloc, apareixent els cadàvers en algun camí o carretera, o desapareixent, com les víctimes de l’assassinat col·lectiu de l’avenc del cap de Sant Antoni. PARAULES CLAU: Repressió, repressió incontrolada, Tribunals Populars, “paseos”, la “Pepa”, repressió guerra civil, Marina Alta La repressió contra les persones considerades enemigues del govern de la República marca els primers mesos de la guerra civil amb una inusitada violència. La Marina Alta es va veure immersa en aquesta onada a l’igual que la resta del territori. Amb tot i això cal distingir dos tipus de repressió, la incontrolada per part d’elements fora de la llei que assassinaren pels camins i carreteres, i la que va seguir la via legal de detencions de religiosos i persones destacades en les files dels partits de dreta, les quals foren empresonades i jutjades per un Tribunal Popular, en ser considerades una “quinta columna” perillosa i col·laboradora amb els militars insurrectes.
