Board of Directors 26 7. Staff 28 2 1. Introduction 2017 has been another very successful year for Fingal Leader Partnership. The Dublin Rural LEADR programme got off to a very strong start with project targets being met and, in some cases, exceeded. The Tús Programe has seen the successful placement of over 200 participants with over 130 participating non-profit organisations, assisting them to deliver much needed services for our local communities. The Care and Repair and the new Computer Home Support services operated under the Tús programme continues to go from strength to strength. The Jobs Club ensured that over half of all clients during the year either successfully regained employment or went on to further education. 2017 also saw the very successful move to our new offices and the integration of services into our new premises at DSV House in Swords Business Park. In February 2017 we appointed our new CEO, Dr. Chris O’Malley who, over the past year, has been successfully planning, formulating and managing the change process within the company. On behalf of the board I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his guidance, direction, hard work and commitment to the company since his appointment. I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our Deputy CEO, Phil Moore, for her hard work and dedication to the company over the past number of years.

    Na Fianna Nuacht Senior Football – 1st Home game of 2016 Senior football league action returns to Mobhi Rd this Sunday at 10.30, when we face Cuala. Our first outing was not an auspicious one, being beaten by Crokes 2–11 to 2–7. The team struggled badly in the first half to go into the break at 1-9 to 0-2 down but the second half performance was full of all the good qualities evident in this squad. Hopefully, we’ll continue where we left off in this outing against Cuala. Last year’s fixture against Cuala saw us score 8 goals which has not been done by a Senior team before in competitive action so Cuala will be coming over to Mobhi Rd looking to restore pride after being on the receiving end of that record and a victory over Ballymun in Pair Ciceam in the first round shows that they mean business in this year’s competition. With the return of Adzer Caffrey and Davy Quinn, who have both been out with long-term injuries, to the squad, Pillar will have some selection issues to contend with for this week’s game. With a bit of support from a home crowd, hopefully we can get a win recorded and target making the League playoffs for a third year running. Check this out. In 2010, Boden participated in 1,500 competitive games across the four codes. Given that this also involved 1,500 teams from Criostóir Ó Cuana, Úachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael performs the official opening of the other clubs with an average of 20 players per squad this Sancta Maria Complex watched by Terry O’Neill, Club Chair; Cllr. Eamonn Maloney, Mayor of South Dublin; Joan O’Flynn, Úachtarán, Cumann Camógaíochta; Colin Moran and Fr. Jimmy amounts to a total of 60,000 players taking part in gaelic games Murray, O. Carm., PP, St. Colmcille’s Knocklyon playing activity involving the club. And of course don’t forget the 1,500 referees. It is a phenomenal number. Add in all the training sessions and discussions associated with each team and the impact of this voluntary activity is truly enormous. As the country faces into difficult economic times, it is heartening to see such endeavour complemented with characteristics like passion, spirit and hope. These qualities are not in short supply in Ireland and if we can harness them properly we will overcome our problems. The club itself was overcome with joy in 2010 with the marvellous four-in-a-row senior hurling titles – an achievement that places the club among the ranks of great clubs.
