For these words describe a disease that affects one in eight women and is the second leading cause of cancer death among women (nationalbreastcancer .org) . Each year 252,710 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,500 will die (nationalbreastcancer .org) . After a lumpectomy, chemotherapy, and 33 rounds of radiation – I am now cancer free,” she says .
