intimate and adventure wedding guide welcome!

Thank you so much for getting in touch with Caroline Moore Photography! I would love to be a part of your wedding, and hope that this guide helps to answer some of your questions about working with me. I want to ensure that we can create beautiful photos together, but do it in a way that allows you to enjoy your day.

My goal as a documentary photographer is to capture the story of your whole wedding day by combining candid photos, natural portraits, and small details that make your day unique. I love working with couples who have a little adventure in their hearts. I see life as a series of adventures, which makes it sound like I spend my weekends summiting grand mountains or recovering sunken ships in the Caribbean. It’s really just a willingness to roll with whatever gets thrown at me, and to try to find a little fun in the things we do every day. Anything can be an adventure, if you look at it in the right light.

I want your day to be fun and your photos to show it. If you’re relaxed and happy, it shows in your photos, and half of my work is done. I want you to look back at real memories that honestly reflect who you are. More “look how happy we are” and less “this is how our photographer told us to stand.” I’m into catching quiet moments and loud joyful ones. Moody black and whites and bright candids. I want to work with fun people who love each other wildly. You want to work with someone who embraces a laid back experience with honest, imperfect moments. Let’s have an adventure.

In this guide, I’ll walk you through planning your wedding, whether you’re looking at an intimate affair, an adventurous destination, or an elopement with just your very nearest and dearest. I’ll tell you all of my favorite vendors and venues, and show you how we can work together to make memorable and beautiful photos that really capture your day.

I’ll also cover more in depth what you can expect from me on your wedding day. As we move forward together, I’ll be checking in with you about the details of your wedding, and helping you to check one more thing off of your very long list. I hope that this guide helps you, but don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have. caroline planning an intimate wedding

Helpful but hands off. What I mean is that I want you to enjoy your day, so I limit how much I’m pulling you away from your party. When it comes time to do portraits, though, I do give you plenty of helpful direction. If I’ve got to make a minor adjustment to ensure that your photos are the best they can be, I’ll do it quickly. But for most of the day, I just want to capture all the little moments that make your day yours.

What if I’m totally not photogenic? Take a look through my wedding and portrait galleries, and recent blog posts. Now consider that nine out of ten of those people told me that they aren’t photogenic, are nervous in front of a camera, and take terrible photos. Unless you’re a model, or the president, or in Nickelback, you’re probably not getting professional photos taken all that often. It’s my job to make you look great, and it’s my job to make you feel comfortable while we’re shooting.

These rates seem a little high, for just two hours. That’s not really a question, but I’m going to field it anyway. This not only covers the time that I actually spend on site taking photographs, but all of the time spent on your wedding. From fielding emails and meetings, to driving to your location, covering your day, transferring files, culling, editing, retouching, exporting, uploading, ordering products, packaging, etc. etc. Far more than two hours of work goes into even the smallest collection.

Do you travel? I love traveling, and I’m happy to shoot your wedding, wherever it may be. More info on travel can be found a few pages back.

Do you do LGBT weddings? Hell yeah.

What’s online proofing? I upload all of the finished images, and you’ll receive an email when they’re ready to view. You’ll be able to view all of your photos online, and you’ll be able to download all of your photos from there. You can send the link to friends and family to view as well, and you are also able to order prints and other products through that service.

Am I gonna be able to print these photos? If you book any collection, or add “digital negatives” to your a la carte pricing, then yes. You sure are.

Where do we start? If you think we’d be a good fit for your wedding day, we can meet up to talk about what you want out of your wedding photography, and go over your plans for the day. I genuinely love hearing about people’s wedding plans, so yes, I totally do want to hear about your idea for a pie bar. We can do this in person, via phone, or by email.

And then? To secure your date, I’ll need a signed contract (which I’ll bring along when we meet up, or I can send it over to you via email), and a 20% retainer (which you can pay by cash, check, or credit card). Then you’re officially booked! I can’t keep a hair color, so here’s a handy guide to the many shades it might be when we meet up.
