The SGA offers op- portunities for leadership development, involvement, and personal growth with- in the college. There are seven director positions including; Facilitation, Finance, Public Relations, Marketing, Student Voice, Archives, and Program Coordination. The Director of Facilitation is respon- sible for creating the agendas for every meeting and keeping the group on task. Director of Finance balances and main- tains the budget, and records all alloca- tions and expenditures. The Director of Public Relations is in charge of creating and dispersing press releases and com- municating with the Champlain College community. Director of Marketing pro- motes the SGA in creative and innova- tive ways as well as creates all the ad- vertising for all the SGA events. Student Voice acts as the representative for the student body and is responsible for opening up communication between the students, the SGA, the faculty, and staff. The Director of Archives is responsible for taking clear, concise notes and keeps the SGA informed on decisions. The Director of Program Coordination is the primary contact for clubs and manages all proposals for student activities and campus events. This past year the SGA has accom- plished a lot. Midterm Mayhem is a semi-annual event where students can unwind and take a break from the stress of midterms. This semester Midterm Mayhem will coincide with the elections. A new program on campus is Student Initiatives and grants.
