IN FAVOUR - This dual winner from the Fabre camp improved for the step up in distance in a Listed contest at Deauville last time and more to come here perhaps 3. HOMER - Andre Fabre is responsible for this Sea The Stars gelding who has won his last two at Clairefontaine so very progressive and every chance for hat trick 4. THINK OF ME - Won on sole start at Clairefontaine at the start of last month. Impressive there and will improve 5. SALMANA - Has won two of her seven outings including two goes back at Deauville. Supplemented for this but a big ask 6. NIGHT DEL RAIS - Only the one success from seventeen tries and basically looks outclassed here today

Summary

There might be a small field for this stamina sapping Group Three event but it is a select one. Andre Fabre could be having a good day already and may make it even sweeter here with his dual representatives having every chance. (2) IN FAVOUR and (3) HOMER can fight it out with marginal preference for the former. (1) MOONLIGHT SPIRIT and (4) THINK OF ME will be bang there too.

Selections

(2) IN FAVOUR - (3) HOMER - (1) MOONLIGHT SPIRIT - (4) THINK OF ME

Summary

A newcomers event for two year old fillies and there are some excellent pedigree's on show. It is a case of one after another with several of the dams having won or placed at Group level and in the highest grade. Jean-Claude Rouget is sure to have (1) ADABEYAAT well schooled for this and it will be no surprise if the daughter of Oasis Dream is sharp. (3) MILLE FOIS MERCI and (8) ALLUCINATION very much catch the eye too. Give a second look to (6) SILVER CRISTAL also.

Selections

(1) ADABEYAAT - (3) MILLE FOIS MERCI - (8) ALLUCINATION - (6) SILVER CRISTAL

Race 3

SPIRIT'S REVENCH - Eight time winner from seventy six events. Gained the last of those at Compiegne in June. Third in Class One handicap last time at Deauville. Big chance 14. Summary

The big Quinte betting race of the day and it is for four year old's and up over the middle distance of a mile and a half. (1) IN FRONT is the clear top weight and deservedly so. This intermediate trip should be much more to his liking after going over too short a trip last time. He really does look to have an excellent chance. (5) LOUIS is a likeable type and will be hoping for a big pace to aim at. (8) GAROPABA could rock up at a price. (2) CHECKPOINT CHARLIE looks almost guaranteed to be placed again. (13) SPIRIT'S REVENCH is also a player.

Selections

(1) IN FRONT - (5) LOUIS - (8) GAROPABA - (2) CHECKPOINT CHARLIE - (13) SPIRIT'S REVENCH - (7) TENNESSEE SONG - (12) FURIOUS DES AIGLES

SOUDANIA - Just the three starts and after a second on debut at Fontainebleau in May has delivered twice at Chantilly and Deauville. Rapid Improver now

Summary

This is a splendid Listed contest for the three year old fillies. Many of them are on the upgrade and could end up at the highest level. One such example is the Freddy Head inmate, (8) SOUDANIA. She has only raced the three times but is now on a hat trick. All ground and distances seem to come alike to her already and her trainer is a master with such sorts. (7) ROMANCIERE is a big candidate and will take beating. (6) GLANCE and (2) ALL GRACE are respected.

Selections

(8) SOUDANIA - (7) ROMANCIERE - (6) GLANCE - (2) ALL GRACE

Summary

This newcomers event for two year old males looks very competitive on paper at least with the usual plethora of top class pedigree pages on view. The maestro himself, Monsieur Fabre, may supply the answer with his Shamardal half brother to the smart Mary Tudor, (6) VICTOR LUDORUM. The sire's progeny are noted for winning when fresh. (1) MUSICAL MAST and (3) LAUENEN have to be of interest with their pages. (9) TWIST must also be looked at.

Selections

(6) VICTOR LUDORUM - (1) MUSICAL MAST - (3) LAUENEN - (9) TWIST

Race 6

Runner up last time at Clairefotaine and deserves a tilt at this higher level 4. KENWAY - Won twice and placed in other three of five runs. Good record and did it very impressively in a Listed at Vichy last time out 5. VENANTIMI - All three runs have come at La Teste Buch and it is a case of steady and natural improvement with form figures of three two one. This is more difficult 6. LES HOGUES - Rouget also saddles this dual winner from three starts. Very impressive at La Teste Buch last time in Listed and every chance 7. BIG REACTION - Both starts have come at La Teste Buch. Won on debut before a second last time. Upped in class here 8. FEMINA - Won narrowly in a newcomers event at Deauville in middle of last month and will come on bundles for that. Respected

Summary

What a delicious renewal of this Group Three for the juveniles. (6) LES HOGUES showed blinding speed to blitz her field in a Listed contest at La Teste de Buch at the end of July coming from last to first and this will have been the target ever since. She can only improve further. (3) SUJET LIBRE can chase home the selection with smaller hopes for both (4) KENWAY and (1) WOODED.

Selections

(6) LES HOGUES - (3) SUJET LIBRE - (4) KENWAY - (1) WOODED

Race 7

Summary

An open enough handicap but one that does make a lot of appeal is (7) CURVER. The six year old gelding has run very well here in his last two by finishing third and second and even a repeat of those may well be good enough. (3) SPEED has been second three times already this year and a similar fate could await here. (9) DRUPE and (2) FIVE ICE CUBES can fill the frame.

Selections

(7) CURVER - (3) SPEED - (9) DRUPE - (2) FIVE ICE CUBES

Race 8

Off for nine months before recent fourth at Deauville 10. NAMAR - A dual winner from twenty one starts but cannot be fancied in current vein of form 11. SAFFO - One success from nineteen and some encouragement at Maisons Laffitte last time out

Summary

This class three qualified riders race looks pretty tricky from a betting point of view. The weights strongly suggest however that (8) MARTALOUNA must have as good a chance as any. The six year old mare has run adequately enough in her last three runs and will represent the value. (9) CHAPARDEUSE ran well on return and must play a part. (2) KADNIKOV is sure to hit the frame. (1) DJOKO can place also.

Selections

(8) MARTALOUNA - (9) CHAPARDEUSE - (2) KADNIKOV - (1) DJOKO
