He completed his PhD in 2005 from The Australian National University on the topic “Industrialization in Thailand: MNEs and Global Integration”. He has been awarded Best Paper Award in Industrial Economics 2003 at the Annual Conference of PhD students. He has also received award for Best Young Economist of the year 2006 awarded by the joining committee of 7 Leading Economics Research Institutes in Thailand. He enjoys the position of Editor-in -Chief of Thammasat Economic Journal. He is a member of Working Group of Research Committee, Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University. Dr. Kohpaiboon has participated in many national and international conferences and presented research papers. His current research interest is in foreign trade, FDI, International Migration, Labour Market and many more. 09:25 AM – 09:30 AM Introduction to Session Co-Chair Dr. Jaweriah Hazrana Researcher, National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research, New Delhi Dr. Hazrana is a researcher at the National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research, ICAR- NIAP, New Delhi, India. She hold a doctoral degree in economics from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, India. She have an interest in contributing to a deeper understanding of how the combination of economic theories and econometric techniques can be used to understand current development and environmental issues. The majority of her research applies improved analytical models to study how empirical findings can be used to derive long-term strategic implications to inform theory as well as guide decision makers in the areas of public policy and its management. She is also a part of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI)'s Bracing for the future: Foresight for Food Systems in the Eastern Gangetic Plains project. As a collaborator, her main assignment is to estimate the effect of prices and government support policies on farmers cropping choices and estimate supply and demand elasticities.
