Pencarian Wajah Baru Terms and Conditions PENCARIAN WAJAH BARU TERMS AND CONDITIONS A. Basic Terms 1. Organizer MEASAT BROADCAST NETWORK SYSTEMS SDN BHD All Asia Broadcast Centre Technology Park Malaysia Lebuhraya Puchong Sungai Besi Bukit Jalil 57000 Kuala Lumpur 2. Name of Pencarian Wajah Baru Programme 3. Brief Description Pencarian Wajah Baru Competition”) is a talent search in becoming the next host, of Program talent.for a programme on Astro Warna 4. Brief mechanism The Competition comprises of the following rounds: of programme a) Audition via Instagram Application • Contestants are required to upload a video of them doing a stand upper/reporting to a topic of their choice in Instagram with a hashtag #showbaruwarna. • Contestants will be selected based on the intonation, voice quality, showmanship and appearance. b) Interview session • Shortlisted Contestants are required to attend one on one interview with the senior reporters/ news reader, management team, producers and editors. • The Contestant will be judged based on personality, appearance and fluency test. Selected Contestants shall proceed to the next round. c) Shortlisting process • Selected Contestants will go through series of challenges to test their broadcast journalism and acting skills including on ground assignment and screen test. • Their performances will be evaluated by the appointed judges based on Story relevance, story weight, stand upper, questions, visual aesthetics. • Only two (2) Contestants will be selected to the Final. d) Final The nine (9) winners will be contacted directly . The winners will be part of the casts, journalists and host for Warna’s new show ! The Contestants must adhere to the mechanics of the Competition as briefed and communicated to the Contestants by the Organiser during the Competition Period or during the episode concerned (as the case may be). 5. Eligibility Criteria a) The Competition is open to all Malaysians of the Age of Eligibility below. b) Contestants must be Malaysian citizens and must possess valid Malaysian Identity Cards. c) And adhere to the criteria stipulated by the Organiser 6. Ineligibility Employees of the Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad and its Group of Companies, Measat Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd, Astro Entertainment Sdn Bhd, Astro Production Sdn Bhd, Astro Digital Sdn Bhd and their *immediate family members; *For any avoidance of doubt, immediate family members means spouse, children, parents, brothers and sisters 7 Age of Eligibility The Competition is open to Malaysians of the aged between 18 to 27 years old, meaning not below 18 years old as of 14th September 2017 and not exceeding 27 years old as of 14th September 2017. If the Contestant is born before or after this window, he/she is not eligible to participate in the Competition. 8. Gameshow Period The Competition shall start from Sept 14 – Sept 21, 2017 The Organiser reserves the right to amend, postpone or re-schedule the Competition Period or any date thereof at its sole discretion. 9. Language of The Competition will be organized and produced by the Organiser in Bahasa Gameshow Malaysia. 10. Entry Procedure Contestants are required to upload a video of them doing a stand upper/reporting to the topic of their choice in Instagram using their personal Instagram account with the hashtag #showbaruwarna and tag h Live!’s official Instagram @officialhlive. The shortlisted Contestant must fill in the Application form which can be obtained at the interview location and attach the following documents ( which shall be non- returnable) and send them to the Organiser :- i) One (1) clear photocopy of Contestant’s Identity Card (new); ii) Two (2) recent 4R-size photographs of the Contestant (one half-length and full length) The Organiser shall be entitled to request sight of the original Identity Card or the original copy(s) of any other supporting documents/materials for verification purposes. 11. Entry Deadline Entries must be received by the Organiser on or before on 11:59pm Sept 21, 2017 . Entries received before the commencement of the Competition Period and after the stipulated Entry Deadline will be disqualified and ineligible for consideration for participation and/or prizes. 12. Prize The Competition winners will be a permanent h Live! broadcast journalist and/or host. 14. Selection of Winner will be chosen based on the format of the show. Winner 15. Notification of The winner will be announced on October 9, 2017 Winners 16. Collection Period Not Applicable 17. Collection Venue Not Applicable 18. Additional terms, if i) The new Contestants must be free from any contractual obligation/arrangement or any any other legal encumbrance, which may prevent him/her form participation in this contest and/or entering into a possible service contract with the Organiser after the Competition. ii) The aim of the Competition is to encourage, discover and train new talent and as a condition to being given the opportunity to compete in the Competition, all Participants, if selected as a semifinalists/finalist/top 12 (hereafter “Finalists”), will be required to enter into a Contestant Participant Agreement and a Management Agreement with the Organizer and/or any of its affiliated and/or related company. The Organizer shall have sole control over the details of the production and the broadcast of the Competition including determining any changes thereto. iii) The Entry shall not contain elements of nudity, pornographic images or sexual themes, graphic violence, defamatory or libelous statements or material considered illegal or may contravene the laws of Malaysia or materials like to tarnish the image or reputation of the Organiser or bring the Organiser into disrepute iv) The Organiser shall not be responsible for any infringement of any third party rights and/or any violation of any law caused by the Contestant in failing to acquire and/or pay for the necessary rights/licenses to incorporate such third party material into the Entry nor for any liability arising from the Contestant’s publication of, distribution of or any other dealings of the Entry before, during or after the Contest. v) The Contestant hereby waives and has obtained waivers of all rights (including moral rights) from all persons who have contributed to the production of the Entry and the underlying works (collectively “Contributors”) to which the Contributor and/or the Contestant, is now or may in future, be entitled in any part of the world. vi) The Organiser shall have the right to use or exploit the Entry or any part thereof in any and all media by any and all manner or means throughout the world for the full period of copyright including all renewals together with the right to authorize others so to do without having to pay any remuneration or royalties to the Contestants. For the avoidance of doubt, the Organiser is under no obligation to use, exploit or broadcast the Entry or any part thereof. vii) The Organiser shall have the rights not to post or to remove without prior notice to the Contestants or cause the Contestants to remove any prohibited or infringing content in the Entry or any Entry content that contravenes the Malaysian Law. viii) The fact that the Organiser will shortlist the Entry does not relieve the Contestants from its obligations to ensure that the Entry submitted is in all respects suitable and ready for exploitation by the Organiser. ix) He/She shall not use the Entry or any part thereof for purposes other than stipulated in the Terms and Conditions. In the event that the Entry or any part thereof is published or distributed or dealt with in any manner whatsoever without prior consent from the Organiser, the Organiser shall at its absolute discretion be entitled to disqualify the Contestant and/or revoke any Prize won and shall bear no liability whatsoever in respect of the same. The Basic Terms, Privacy Notice and the Standard Terms and Conditions (collectively “Terms and Conditions”) shall be binding on all contestants who participate in this Competition (“Contestants”). The definitions in the Standard Terms and Conditions shall apply unless otherwise expressly agreed in the Basic Terms. In the event of any inconsistency between the Standard Terms and Conditions and the Basic Terms, the Basic Terms shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency. Entry and participation in the Competition shall be deemed an unconditional acceptance by the Contestants of the Terms and Conditions. The success of companies in a knowledge-based economy relies more on knowledge and intellectual capital than on other resources. Therefore, transferring new knowledge from foreign multinational corporations (MNC) to the local workforce is a basic step for sustaining competitive advantages. Success in knowledge transfer depends on employee absorption capacities, organizational learning climate, and the willingness of foreign expatriates in MNCs to transfer knowledge. Using the case study of Technology Park Malaysia (TPM), this paper investigates to what extent knowledge inflows and outflows have taken place among the professional Malaysian workforce. It also analyzes the factors influencing knowledge transfer.
