RICHARDSON, TX – Eisemann Center Presents I Wrote That One Too…A Life in Songwriting: From Willie to Whitney, starring Steve Dorff at the Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Drive in Richardson, Texas on Friday, March 20 at 7:30 pm in the Bank of America Theatre. Songwriters Hall of Famer Steve Dorff’s career spans five decades with over 400 songs and numerous No. 1 hits recorded by legendary artists such as Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Anne Murray, Kenny Rogers, George Strait, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Whitney Houston, Alison Kraus, Aaron Neville, Ringo Starr and countless others.

Newly inducted into the prestigious Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in New York, Steve Dorff’s career as a songwriter spans five decades and includes more than forty BMI awards, twenty Top 10 hits, twelve No. 1 hits, and an American Music Award. The Grammy and Emmy-nominated songwriter and composer has had songs recorded by more than four hundred artists from all genres of music, as well as twenty-eight movie scores and countless theme songs and placements on TV series. He has had #1 Records across four decades.

Dorff is a gifted composer in every musical field and has over 28 placements in TV series such as Murphy Brown, Growing Pains, Murder She Wrote, Columbo, Reba, Spenser: For Hire, Just the Ten of Us, and feature films such as Every Which Way But Loose, Pure Country, Rocky IV, Tin Cup, and Honkytonk Man. He is the musical director for the new Murphy Brown series and has a cut on the new Barbra Streisand album, released in November of 2019. Steve published his critically accalimed 2017 memoir, I Wrote That One Too…A Life in Songwriting from Willie to Whitney, and he enjoys performing his best-loved songs at venues across the country.
