Chairman Allen called the meeting to order at 4:29 p.m. and attendance was taken.

SUNSET REVIEW OF THE ARIZONA COMMISSION FOR POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION (ACPE)

Presentation by the Auditor General

Cheya Wilson, Office of the Auditor General, distributed and explained a PowerPoint presentation entitled "Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education: Performance Audit and Sunset Review Report No. 17-113 Issued December 2017" (Attachment A).

Response from the ACPE

Dr. April Osborn, Executive Director, Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education (ACPE), provided a brief background on the agency and gave an update regarding the Commission's response of the Auditor General's Performance Audit.

Public Testimony

Senator Allen called for public testimony, however, no one came forward.

Discussion and Recommendations by the Committee of Reference

Senator Pace moved the Committee of Reference recommend to the full Legislature that the Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education be continued for eight years and authorize staff to draft any conforming legislation. The motion CARRIED by voice vote.

Attached is a list noting the individual who registered his position on the agenda item (Attachment B).

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:49 p.m.
