For Immediate Release NEWS RELEASE UOL TO PREVIEW CLAVON IN CLEMENTI • More than half of the 640-unit development priced below $1.5 million, with one-bedroom unit starting from $800,000, two-bedroom unit from $1 million • Strategically located near Kent Ridge education cluster, one-north, Jurong Lake District • Holistic home design where work and living co-exist Singapore, 25 November 2020 – UOL Group Limited (UOL) will open its latest residential development for private preview on 28 November 2020. Clavon (悦文荟) along Clementi Avenue 1 integrates work and living trends and features flexible spaces, smart home amenities and technology solutions for a safe living environment. The 640-unit condominium comprises two 37-storey towers in a north-south orientation that maximises unblocked views of the surrounding area. The landscape design capitalises on the sloping terrain of the site by introducing a series of terraced landscape decks to create infinity pool views and gardens. UOL Group Chief Executive Liam Wee Sin said: “We believe good buildings not only add value to property but also to the quality of life. In every UOL project, we aim to deliver a strong product through good design, ecologically driven landscaping, sustainability and community. For Clavon, the architecture and landscape design creates a unique resort ambience and lends a touch of hospitality.” Mr Liam added: “Clavon is a next-generation product, designed in response to changing lifestyles. The development offers innovative layouts and solutions that incorporate key elements of work-from-home within the units and offers buyers the opportunity to mould their interiors into personalised and functional spaces where work and living co-exist.” 1 An 80:20 joint venture between UOL and subsidiary United Industrial Corporation Limited, Clavon comprises a mix of one- to five-bedroom units ranging from 527 sq ft to 1,690 sq ft. About 56% or 356 units at the development are one- and two-bedroom units sized between 527 sq ft and 764 sq ft. The units are attractively priced, with more than half of the 640-unit development priced below $1.5 million. One-bedroom unit start from $800,000; two-bedroom unit from $1 million; three-bedroom unit from $1.45 million; four-bedroom unit from $1.9 million; and five- bedroom unit from $2.5 million. UOL Chief Investment and Asset Officer Jesline Goh said: “We are launching Clavon at a time when The Tre Ver and Amber45 are almost sold out, while Avenue South Residence at the doorstep of the Greater Southern Waterfront has moved close to 600 units or about 55% within 15 months of its launch. Given its strong product positioning and attractive starting prices, Clavon will be the aspirational home for buyers who appreciate its location in the heart of Clementi, near the education hub, one-north and the Jurong Lake District. In fact, we have already received a healthy level of enquiries for the launch.” All the units feature flexible spaces and layouts designed to cater to the trend of remote working. For instance, the one-bedroom units incorporate an attached study for home-office use while the three-bedroom units come with flexible space that can be adapted for a variety of uses including home office, study area or workout corner. The integrated gym and co-working space within the clubhouse, which is the first-of- its-kind for a residential development in Singapore, will showcase work pods which allow buyers to enjoy the privacy of video conferencing or the flexibility for quiet work or study time. There will be a host of thoughtfully curated facilities including three themed function rooms for entertaining guests, a 50-metre infinity pool, waterplay area and children’s playground. To ensure a safe living environment, Clavon will also be deploying technology solutions in the lifts, such as UV tubes to purify the air and self-disinfectant coatings on lift 2 buttons and handrails. Smart home features will also be incorporated into all the units for seamless convenience. The development is located near Singapore’s education hub – the Kent Ridge cluster of tertiary institutions including the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Yale- NUS College, as well as NUS High School of Mathematics and Science, Nan Hua High School, Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Singapore Polytechnic, Anglo-Chinese Junior College, Tanglin Trust School, United World College of South East Asia (Dover Campus), Fairfield Methodist Primary School and Nan Hua Primary School. In Nov 2018, LTA announced the new Range-based Parking Provision Standards (RPPS) and the new parking Zone 4 for car-lite areas, which came into force in Feb 2019. The areas classified as “Zone 4” in the RPPS will be planned with strong public transport connectivity, walking and cycling travel options. Vehicle parking provision for development applications within these areas will be determined by LTA on a case-specific basis. Five car-lite areas were gazetted on 1 Feb 2019. They are Kampong Bugis, Marina South, Jurong Lake District (JLD), Bayshore and Woodlands North. 2. The car-lite boundary of JLD will be expanded in view of the potential synergies between the JLD area gazetted as Zone 4 in Feb 2019 and the adjacent development areas. In addition, 5 new areas will be gazetted for development as car-lite areas. These are Jurong Innovation District (JID), one-north, Punggol Digital District (PDD), Springleaf, and Woodlands Central. Please refer to Appendix 1 for details on the boundaries of these car-lite areas. These 5 new car-lite areas and the expanded boundary of JLD will be gazetted as Zone 4 with effect from 1 Aug 2020. 3. The Zone 4 vehicle parking requirement will apply to all new development proposals within the car-lite areas highlighted in paragraph 2, submitted to LTA from 1 Aug 2020 onwards.

The Optometrists and Opticians Board has conducted a survey with local optical outlets to collate information on the various optical services provided at their outlets. In addition to the more common optical services available, the information includes the provision of four other useful screening tools used at the optical outlets. Information on general uses of optical equipment 1. Subjective Refraction: it is a type of visual test carried out to determine the degree of one’s short- sightedness or long-sightedness. Fundus photography: it is an advanced digital retina photography capturing an image of the back of the eye. It is often used to inspect anomalies and to monitor progression of eye diseases such as macular degeneration, retina neoplasms, choroid disturbances and diabetic retinopathy. 3. Non-contact Tonometer (NCT): it is a diagnostic tool to measure the intraocular pressure (IOP) inside a patient’s eyes to determine patient’s risk for developing glaucoma, a disease that causes blindness by damaging the nerve in the back of the eye.

    For immediate release NEWS RELEASE CapitaLand divests 70% interest in Westgate in Singapore’s Jurong Lake District to CapitaLand Mall Trust for S$789.6 million Continues 1H 2018 capital recycling momentum to unlock asset value for reinvestment in higher yielding ventures Singapore, 27 August 2018 – CapitaLand Limited is pleased to announce that it has, through its wholly owned subsidiaries, entered into a sale and purchase agreement with HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore) Limited, the trustee of CapitaLand Mall Trust (CMT), to sell its 70% stake in Infinity Mall Trust (IMT) that holds Westgate – the retail component of an integrated retail and office development in Singapore’s Jurong Lake District. The divestment is based on an agreed market value of Westgate at S$1,128.0 million (S$2,746 per square foot) on a 100% basis, 70% of which is S$789.6 million. The agreed value of Westgate was negotiated on a willing-buyer and willing-seller basis. The sale will generate for CapitaLand proceeds of about S$397.6 million and a net gain of about S$99.2 million. The transaction, which is conditional upon CMT unitholders’ approval, is expected to be completed in 4Q 2018. Mr Lim Ming Yan, President & Group CEO of CapitaLand Group, said: “This is another of CapitaLand’s capital recycling actions which enables us to maintain a robust balance sheet while growing our assets under management. The divestment of Westgate to CMT allows us to realise the property’s investment value, thus enhancing our financial flexibility as we redeploy our capital into higher yielding investments.

    Behind the Scenes: Jurong Lake District, Singapore Panel Insights on the ULI Advisory Services Panel Process ULI or over 70 years, the Urban Land Institute (ULI)’s Advisory Services Programme has Fworked to bring together the finest expertise in real estate to provide insights on best practice in challenging land-use issues ranging from planning, to development, heritage, and regulatory policy. In total, ULI has now convened more than 600 Advisory Services Panels (ASPs), staffed by volunteers from its 40,000 inter-disciplinary membership base. By providing an unbiased outside point of view from this very deep pool of expertise, the Advisory Services programme has and continues to deliver fresh insights and innovative solutions to seemingly intractable real estate problems. In January 2018, the Ministry of National Development’s Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC) and the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) of Singapore (collectively known as ‘the Sponsors’) approached ULI to form an Advisory Services panel of ten highly qualified practitioners to provide strategic advice on Jurong Lake District, a growth area that is planned as a smart and sustainable mixed-use business district.     MEDIA RELEASE For Immediate Release New National Masterplan to Encourage More to Garden - NParks takes over development of the Orchid Industry Singapore, 3 November 2017- The National Parks Board (NParks) today announced a new national gardening masterplan for Singapore which centres on promoting edible gardening. The masterplan will be implemented through both ongoing and new initiatives such as training, the expansion of the allotment gardening scheme, as well as outreach efforts like the Community Garden Festival. With a large number of community gardeners growing edibles, the Edible Horticulture Masterplan aims to increase knowledge and cultivate the community’s interest in gardening by opening up more avenues for the public to participate in Singapore’s greening efforts. During the opening of the Community Garden Festival at HortPark, NParks also unveiled HortHouse, which will serve as the new training hub for the Centre for Urban Greenery and Ecology (CUGE). This new landscape fronting HortHouse featuring eleven families of flowers and foliage will also provide an outdoor showcase of horticultural varieties to complement learning, and appeal to home gardeners. The focus on edibles taps on the immense interest in edible gardening to nurture younger gardeners. After more than a decade since the establishment of the Community in Bloom programme, community gardeners have honed their skills in growing edibles. At present, 80% of the gardening groups in HDB estates grow edibles in their community gardens. This burgeoning interest in edibles is also evident in the increasing number of entries in the NParks Community Garden Edibles Competition each year. There were a record number of 400 participants in this year’s competition, an approximately 33% increase from the previous year, in addition to an overall improvement in the quality of entries as the competition enters its third year.

The idea for a national garden was planted in 1822 when Sir Stamford Raffles, the founder of modern Singapore, developed the first Botanical and Experimental Garden at Fort Canning. In 1859, the Singapore Botanic Gardens was established at the Tanglin site and in the 160 years past, it has flourished from a pleasure garden for the colonial community to a place cherished by all Singaporeans, a botanical institution known internationally. Singapore’s greening journey took root in the 1960s when founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew planted a Mempat Tree at Farrer Circus. This kickstarted a national effort for tree planting, sowing the seed of a green home where beautiful parks and green belts would be the birthright of every Singaporean. Today, the intricate lattice of greenery we have woven into the cityscape supports thriving biodiversity and provides residents with a quality living environment. This not only draws the appreciation and marvel of visitors, but has become a part of our national identity.
