UC Davis Department of Theatre & Dance About Della Davidson A central figure in West Coast dance since the mid presents 1980’s, Della Davidson was a professor in the UC Davis Department of Theatre and Dance and recently named the 2012 recipient of the Dancers A Tribute to Della Davidson Choice Award for her continuing impact on dance in the Bay Area. Born in Texas in 1951 and raised in Michigan, Della moved to to start her career in dance in 1972.
