Last Months Meeting the Players Photo LAST MONTHS MEETING Breakthru' started the evening off with with a good selecton of songs followed by the club members playing either with the band or to backing tracks. As an added bonus this month we had a surprise tribute to the late Phil Scott with Phil's friend and fellow guitarist Tony Vee playing some of Phil's favourite numbers backed by Breakthru'. We also had a surprise auction of a red Burns Cobra guitar kindly donated by Colin Howell, the proceeds of this going to the young musicians charity which Phil supported. I have been told that this event raised the sum of £430 from the raffle If I'd known about this event beforehand I could have placed a notice in our newsletter, however it was organised only a week before our meeting. The Surrey Shadows Club - 20th February 2015. My Burns guitar raised £430 at the raffle last night and I made it up to £450 and donated it on behalf of all of us to Youth Music in memory of Phil. Thank you all for your contributions, and a special thanks to Tony Vee for playing the guitar and for his excellent musical tribute. The guitar by the way was won by a non-player who told me that he is giving it to his young nephew who has just started to play guitar. I thought that was well in keeping with the Charity that the money was going to. Colin/Shakey Tickets for THE LOCAL HEROES go on sale! Not at all like the usual goodness served up at the Central Diner. But I didn't care, because it gave me an excuse to order the white-pepper gravy to smother, and I mean smother them with. While I waited for the gravy, I sat and watched my mother. Her hair was perfect, as always, and sprayed to stay that way.

The group did not issue an EP themselves until the beginning of 1961, but they could claim a share of the credit before then for a string of releases in this format, contributing a track apiece to each of the first four and accompanying Cliff on no fewer than 28 tracks of the nine EPs marketed by the time that 1960 had run its course. There was no EP chart in place in May 1959: had there been, there can be little doubt that ‘Serious Charge’ would have made an impression, and a telling one at that. Columbia’s golden boy would presently be flying high with the blockbuster single Living Doll , but things were already looking pretty healthy: the album ‘Cliff’ had entered the charts at 7 on 18 April and peaked at 4 on 9 May, just as ‘Serious Charge’ was coming out and just as the single Mean Streak was making its chart debut, destined to make the Top Ten — only just, but a clear improvement none the less on its ill-judged predecessor Livin’ Lovin’ Doll .

CLIFF RICHARD & THE SHADOWS: A ROCK & ROLL MEMOIR PDF, EPUB, EBOOK Royston Ellis,Cliff Richard | 200 pages | 02 Feb 2015 | Tomahawk Press | 9780956683472 | English | Sheffield, United Kingdom Cliff Richard's Biography At the end he was left speechless. He choked, deeply affected by the sincerity and enthusiasm of his two admirers. He said he wanted to base his main character on Hank! For many weeks they were on three Singles in the charts at the same time. It was No. Never mind the tunes, I say, look at the cover! Here, in all its glory, is the very item I now had in my hand…. When they were composed, he must still have been fibbing about his age in order to be able to work the hours he did with Cliff! But if you could wear a picture out by looking at it, this would certainly have been the case. Note the marks showing that it was later pinned on the bedroom wall. I sailed into my teens bopping round the kitchen with the EP cover parked on the top of the fridge and the publicity photo for the next Single propped up next to my homework on the table. I can assure you that by this time things had begun to get very serious, as far as I was concerned. It might surprise them to know that they also contributed to the classical education of young ladies in the leafy suburbs of London. One sleepy afternoon our bouncy young Latin teacher bounced into class and woke us all up by writing just one word on the blackboard:.

  • Music Therapy Master Song Resource List
University of Kansas Music Therapy Song Repertoire Resource List Spring 2021 The KU music therapy song repertoire resource list acts as a reference for music therapy students as they work to develop a diverse repertoire of songs for use in their musical, pre-clinical, and clinical work. As such, it is a both a document of important songs that have historically been used in music therapy processes, and a living, breathing document that will be updated intermittently to maintain the dynamic of new musics. Songs are categorized and divided into music genres. Genres provide some level of diversity. Current genres in the book are provided as a general list on page 2, and then each genre is presented alphabetically, with songs in each genre also presented alphabetically. This approach helps to make finding songs easier. Some songs will be cross-referenced. Each song will include either an original artist or the song’s author (or both), as well as the year the song was written. This list can help students learn more songs, not only for singing and accompaniment purposes, but also for using recordings of songs when appropriate. Students are strongly encouraged to locate and listen to original recordings of songs to help their learning processes. Original notation in lead sheets is also helpful, especially for students that excel in reading. A good ear and solid music reading skills help for music therapists to be efficient in their learning of new songs. Also, looking up the history of a song helps a clinician make important decisions on how the music may connect with a client, increasing the potential for its effective use.

  • 3 Solving Problems by Searching
Chapters 3 and 4 from Russell/Norvig, Artificial Intelligence, 3e, ISBN: 0136042597 ©2010 SOLVING PROBLEMS BY 3 SEARCHING In which we see how an agent can find a sequence of actions that achieves its goals, when no single action will do. The simplest agents discussed in Chapter 2 were the reflex agents, which base their actions on a direct mapping from states to actions. Such agents cannot operate well in environments for which this mapping would be too large to store and would take too long to learn. Goal-based agents, on the other hand, can succeed by considering future actions and the desirability of their outcomes. PROBLEMSOLVING AGENT This chapter describes one kind of goal-based agent called a problem-solving agent. Problem-solving agents think about the world using atomic representations, as described in Section 2.4.7—that is, states of the world are considered as wholes, with no internal structure visible to the problem-solving algorithms. Goal-based agents that use more advanced fac- tored or structured representations are usually called planning agents and are discussed in Chapter 7 and 11. We start our discussion of problem solving by defining precisely the elements that con- stitute a “problem” and its “solution,” and give several examples to illustrate these definitions. We then describe several general-purpose search algorithms that can be used to solve these problems. We will see several uninformed search algorithms—algorithms that are given no information about the problem other than its definition. Although some of these algorithms can solve any solvable problem, none of them can do so efficiently.

00:00:00 Music Transition “Crown Ones” off the album Stepfather by People Under The Stairs. Chill, grooving instrumentals. 00:00:05 Oliver Wang Host Hello, everyone. It’s Oliver Wang from Heat Rocks. Just wanted to let you know that for the next month we are rolling out a new mini- series about movies and music, just in time for award season. We’re calling it Music and Popcorn, and starting next week we’ll have four episodes where guests are invited to talk about one of their favorite soundtracks and the movies that use them. To kick things off, though, we wanted to revisit some of the previous episodes where we’ve explored this exact territory, and we’re gonna start with our conversation with comedian Eliza Skinner about John Huges’ classic 1980s teen drama, Pretty In Pink. 00:00:44 Music Music “Pretty in Pink” off the album Pretty in Pink by The Psychedelic Furs. Upbeat 80s pop. Caroline laughs, and it’s raining all day… [Music fades out as Oliver speaks] 00:00:59 Oliver Host Now, given your penchant for freestyle— [Eliza laughs.] —we thought you would pick a hip hop album, but here you are with Pretty in Pink, an iconic soundtrack from an iconic film to be sure, but about as far from hip hop and the 1980s cultural scale as one could imagine. Why did you want to talk about this album? 00:01:16 Eliza Guest This album was the seminal album for me. This helped create so Skinner much of my um, interesting in music as an adult.
