LOGGING EVENT DEC 2014 There was a National Trust Woodland Management Horse Logging event at the Monument 6th and 7th of December 2014 . This event was part of the Culm Woods, Blackdown and East Devon Woodlands Association Programme. BLACKDOWN WOODLAND FAIR 4TH July 2015 Free children’s activities, Local food and drink, and lots of Forestry demonstrations are all on the programme of this year’s Fair. It is the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo and the fair is held under the Duke of Wellington’s Monument. There will be a “Napoleonic Living History display” in addition to the other attractions. There will be a large children’s activity area where children can have a go at a range of activities including fire lighting, den building and other bushcraft skills. Adults are not left out, as there is the opportunity to try such things as archery, green wood working, tree and pole climbing. Demonstrations take place throughout the day, including horse logging, the opportunity to see steam saws and machinery at work. Stalls offer a good range of food and drink, Beer from the Otter Brewery, Apple Juice, wood fired Pizza’s fresh meat, ice cream—and of course a good cup of tea and cakes. The Fair is organised by the Blackdown and East Devon Woodland Association. A spokesman said “We have more stall holders this year ,as well as some new activities on offer. It is fantastic value for money, a real family day out, and offers a safe and secure environment where families can allow their children to explore and try new things”.     Financial Year 1 April 2017 – 31 March 2018 TDBC implemented the Community Infrastructure Levy on 1 April 2014. This Report details CIL monies received and spent from 1 April 2017 – 31 March 2018. CIL MONIES RECEIVED TO MARCH 2018. This table identifies each CIL payment received and shows how it is apportioned in accordance with the Community Infrastructure Regulations 2010 (as amended). These regulations state that 5% of the CIL collected over the period of years one to three may be applied to administrative expenses. 15% of each CIL payment is passed on to the Parish in which it was collected. This Parish payment is capped at £100 per existing council tax dwelling within the Parish. If a Parish has a Neighbourhood Plan in place this payment increases to 25% of each CIL payment and is uncapped. The Neighbourhood Development Plan must have been adopted BEFORE the planning consent was granted. In the case of Outline and Reserved Matters applications the Plan must have been adopted BEFORE the Reserved Matters application is approved. The purpose of this report is for Full Council to approve the calculation and setting of the Council Tax for 2021/22. This incorporates the precepts approved by all the local authorities for whom SWTC collects the council tax – county, district, town, parish, charter trustees, police and fire authorities.
