Salem Park 680 Salem St. County provides COVID-19 care kits at test events The Department of Health, La Clinica de Familia, NM Café and Help NM held a COVID-19 testing on Saturday, September 12 at San Jose Catholic Church in La Mesa. Members of the National Guard passed out free COVID-19 Care Kits provided by Do- ña Ana County. Kits included spray disinfectant, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and masks. The purpose of the kits is to arm families with everything they need to help pre- vent the virus. On Friday, September 18, La Clinica de Familia held another COVID-19 testing event in Hatch. Doña Ana County’s COVID-19 Care Kits were also handed out at that event. “Our goal is to raise awareness about COVID-19 testing, throughout the county,” Commissioner Lynn Ellins said. More testing events will be held throughout the county. “The more aggressive we are with testing and contact tracing, the better our chances of lowering the spread of the virus,” Commissioner Manuel Sanchez said.
