Salah satu kasusnya ditemukan pada bakso yang dijajakan di SDN Cirendeu 02. Siswa di sekolah tersebut merupakan populasi berisiko untuk terpajan boraks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui estimasi risiko pajanan boraks pada siswa di SDN Cirendeu 02 tahun 2019 sehingga dapat dilakukan upaya manajemen risiko yang tepat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain studi ARKL (Analisis Risiko Kesehatan Lingkungan). Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan pengukuran konsentrasi boraks dalam bakso. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 165 responden dari kelas 2 sampai kelas 6. Analisis data meliputi analisis univariat dan analisis risiko yang dilakukan dengan langkah perhitungan intake, risk quotient, dan excess cancer risk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi boraks pada bakso sebesar 1,31467 mg/gr. Setelah dilakukannya perhitungan tingkat risiko non karsinogenik (RQ) didapatkan nilai > 1 pada kelas 6 untuk pajanan realtime sehingga siswa kelas 6 telah memiliki risiko untuk gangguan kesehatan non karsinogenik. Sedangkan perhitungan tingkat risiko karsinogenik pada seluruh siswa kelas 2 hingga kelas 6 didapatkan nilai ECR > E-4 dalam pajanan realtime dan lifetime sehingga siswa tersebut telah memiliki risiko untuk gangguan kesehatan karsinogenik. Manajemen risiko yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah responden dari gangguan kesehatan yaitu mengganti penggunaan boraks sebagai pengawet dan pengenyal dengan bahan alami yaitu ekstrak wortel dan tepung rumput laut, menyarankan orangtua siswa untuk menyediakan bekal sehat untuk anak, serta upaya pengawasan dan pembinaan terhadap keamanan pangan jajan oleh berbagai pihak seperti pihak sekolah, Dinkes setempat kepada penyedia pangan jajan. Kata Kunci : ARKL, Boraks, Siswa Sekolah Dasar Referensi: 119 (2006-2019) ii FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCE PUBLIC HEALTH STUDY PROGRAMS DEPARTEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH Environmental Health Risk Assesment of Borax Exposure in Students Who Consume Meatball at Cirendeu 02 Ciputat Elementary School in 2019 Husnia Zuhra, NIM : 11151010000078 Xx, 186 pages, 8 pictures, 28 tables, 2 Diagrams, 7 attachments ABSTRACT Borax is a chemical that is prohibited from being used as food additives, but its presence is often found in food, one of them is meatballs that are sold at SDN Cirendeu 02. The students are at risk for Borax's exposure. The general objective of this study is to determine the estimated risk of borax exposure for students at SDN 02 Cirendeu in 2019 so that proper risk management can be done. This study is a quantitative research, using the ARKL (Environmental Health Risk Assesment) design. The data of this study were obtained from interviews through a questionnaire and measurement of borax levels in meatballs. This research is conducted on 165 respondents of the 2nd until 6th grade students. Data analysis contains of univariate analysis and risk analysis which included calculation of intake, risk quotient, and excess cancer risk. The results shows that the concentration of borax was 1.31467 mg / gr. The results of risk characterization showed that non-carcinogenic risks in realtime for class 6 because it gets RQ value > 1. As for carcinogenic risk shows that the value of ECR> E-4 both in realtime and lifetime, which means it had carcinogenic risk. Risk Management that can be done to prevent responedents form health problems by replacing the use of borax as a preservative and thickener with natural ingredients namely carrots extracts adan seaweed flour, advising parents to provide healthy food foor children bring to school, monitoring and fostering efforts for safety food by various perties such as elementary schools, local health offices to food provider.
