Sam's Metal Trading SAM’S ALUMINIUM EXTRUSION SDN. BHD. COMPANY PROFILE INTRODUCTION Sam’s Aluminium Extrusion Sdn. Bhd. (SAE) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sam’s Metal Trading (Kuantan) Sdn. Bhd. (incorporated in year 1995) which is located at a strategic business location in Kuantan, Pahang, East Coas t of Peninsular Malaysia. SAE established in year 2009 and commenced operation in August 2010 with manufacturing of aluminium extrusion products (building and construction materials). Page | 1 The plant is located at industrial zone in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia and with strategic location and advantages from the logistic business network that connects to Kuala Lumpur via East Coast Highway (3 hours journey on land). From Kuantan deep water sea port, the plant is only 25km away, this providing export convenience for overseas customers with time efficiency for delivery. Also, it is 10 minutes driving journey from Kuantan International Airport. In addition, with the plant facility that we have, we are able to produce varieties of aluminium industrial profiles, aluminium building profiles and powder coated products based on customers’ requirements. We give our customers wide range of choices when they choose Sam's products. Sam’s Aluminium Extrusion Sdn. Bhd. has achieved ISO 9001:2008 in June 2011. The ISO 9001 is the international recognized Quality Management System standard and the preferred solution for over half a million organization in 159 countries. At present, Sam’s Metal Group of Companies owned 5 warehouses and has over 160 staffs. We have been awarded 4 times Malaysia Business Excellent Award and create strong distribution network in East Coast region to serve our customer needs. Page | 2 DIRECTOR’S PROFILE Sam Choon Chiong, appointed as Group Managing Director of the Company on 28 September 1995. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Business from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia, major in Banking And Finance. He joined Mui Finance as Credit Officer in September 1993. After four (4) months later, he joined WK Securities Sdn Bhd as Company Dealer for two (2) years. Subsequently, he joined Sam’s Metal Trading (Kuantan) Sdn Bhd (Previously Known as “Chin Foh Trading (Kuantan) Sdn Bhd”) in September 1995 until now. Daniel Sam Choon Fook, appointed as Group Executive Director in year 2004 until now. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Business from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He is a member of CPA (Australia). He joined Messrs Coopers & Lybrand, an international accounting firm for three (3) years. After that, he joined Corm Form (Asia) Pty Ltd as Managing Director for ten (10) years. He then joined Press Metal Berhad (China, Hubei) as Financial Controller. It highlights the components of environmental concerns of the Project site and its surroundings. The term ZOI is used to describe the area most likely to be impacted by the Project. The ZOI represents the surrounding area within a 5 km radius from the boundary of the LAMP site. The information provided within this chapter forms the basis of the impact assessment in Chapter 7. The description provided in this chapter is based on site visits and environmental monitoring data at the LAMP site, undertaken by Permulab (M) Sdn. Bhd., a laboratory accredited by the Department of Standards, Malaysia under the Skim Akreditasi Makmal Malaysia (SAMM), Malaysian Meteorological Department and publications by DOE, Kuantan Municipal Council, Pihak Berkuasa Perancang Tempatan (PBPT) Daerah Kuantan. Data from past studies, including the “Preliminary EIA and Quantitative Risk Assessment of the Proposed Advanced Materials Plant in Gebeng Industrial Area, Kuantan, Pahang, by Enviro Sdn Bhd, 2007” was also referenced. 6.2 TOPOGRAPHY Regionally, the GIE is located in the Kemajuan Tanah Merah area where Bukit Tanah Merah was flattened to construct the industrial estate. The GIE is located within the low-lying and predominantly swampy Sungai Balok catchment area with an average land elevation of 7m above mean sea level.

The matrix-supported conglomerate of very well rounded clasts conformably overlies pebbly mudstone and shows a gradual change in matrix grain size from clay to sand. An Anisian (early Middle Triassic) age is indicated for a whole sequence by the presence of an ammonoid Paraceratites sp. found in a lower shale bed. Sedimentological features suggest that the conglomerate and underlying sandstone/shale sequences were possibly deposited in a relatively deep marine environment, and probably belong to the Semantan Formation. Abstrak: Satu jujukan tebal konglomerat, batu pasir bertuf dan syallbatu lumpur yang tersingkap di kawasan Setia Jasa diperihalkan di sini. Konglomerat sokongan matriks dengan klasta sangat bulat didapati menindih batu lumpur berpebel dan menunjukkan perubahan berterusan matriks dari saiz lumpur ke saiz pasir. Keseluruhan jujukan ditafsirkan berusia Anisian (Trias Tengah) berdasarkan kehadiran fosil amonoid Paraceratites sp. yang ditemui dalam syal di bawahnya. Bukti-bukti sedimentologi mencadangkan bahawa jujukan konglomerat dan jujukan batu pasir-syal di bawahnya mungkin diendapkan di sekitaran laut yang agak dalam dan mungkin merupakan sebahagian daripada Formasi Semantan.

The purpose of this study was to assess minerals contents of three different formulations of spices and herbs, that is mixed herbs (F1), mixed spices (F2) and mixed spices & herbs (F3) predominantly formulated for general health and wellbeing. Minerals namely K, Ca, Mg, Cr, Mn, Zn, Cu and Fe, which are considered vital for good health were studied. The samples were processed, digested and the aforementioned minerals were quan- titatively analyzed in the said formulations of spices and herbs by using ICP-MS. The analysis was performed in triplicates and the post-hoc (tukey) test was applied to determine the mean difference amongst the mineral contents of the three formulations with p<0.05 was considered significant. The formulation F1 (mixed herbs) showed significantly (p<0.05) higher contents of Mg, K, Ca, Fe, Cu and Zn, whereas the F2 (mixed spices) and F3 (mixed spices and herbs) showed significantly (p<0.05) higher contents of Mn and Cr respectively.
