Nadda inaugurates Summit on 'Good Innovations in Public HealthCare' By TIOL News Service NEW DELHI, OCT 30, 2018: Mr J P Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare in the presence of Mr Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Assam, inaugurated the 5th National Summit on “Good & Replicable Practices & Innovations in Public Health Care Systems in India― at Kaziranga, Assam today.  Mr J P Nadda and the Chief Minister of Assam also released a Coffee Table Book on Good Practices, Evidence to Action: Towards Universal Health Coverage. Mr Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Health Minister, Govt. of Assam, Mr Piyush Hazarika, Minister of State (Health), Govt. of Assam, Smt. Preeti Sudan, Secretary (Health), Mr Manoj Jhalani, AS & MD (NHM), Mr Samir Kumar Sinha, Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Assam were also present at the inaugural function. Speaking at the function, Chief Minister of Assam said that everybody will benefit from these best practices and there is a need to raise awareness amongst the masses about various health issues for ensuring a better future. Speaking at the function, Mr Nadda said that the government is always focused on promoting innovative approaches tailored to challenges under the most able leadership of our Hon'ble Prime Minister who has given the mantra of “Reform, Perform and Transform―. He further said that we must match speed, skill and scale to get the desired results. Appreciation of Employees Working in National Health Programmes The
Appreciation of employees working in National Health Programmes The National Health Mission, Chandigarh issued appreciation certificates to its 54 doctors and 160 Para Medical workers in order to boost their morale and to bring motivation amongst the co-workers. These appreciation certificates were given along with momentos. Their untiring efforts have brought Chandigarh amongst one of the best UTs in parameters under various National Health programmes in the country. The contribution of these employees has made the U.T to achieve 100% immunization. Chandigarh bagged the National Award for the 1st Position (among the Union Territories) in reduction of Infant Mortality Rate today on 30.10.18 at 5th National Summit - Good and Replicable Practices in Public Healthcare Systems in India 2018 by Sh. Jagat Parkash Nadda, Hon'ble Union Health Minister of India at Kaziranga, Assam in the presence of Sh. Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon'ble chief Minister of Assam and other distinguished personalities of the Govt. of Assam & Union Health Secretary of India. In Chandigarh Administration, the department of Health received the Cash Prize of Rs. 10,00,000/- in 6th JRD Tata Memorial Award for sustained efforts in stabilizing population levels and best performing state in reproductive health, gender equality and women empowerment. SHRI RAJIV PRATAP RUDY: Will the Minister of COMMUNICATIONS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has taken note of disruptions in digital infrastructure caused by infrastructure related construction activities like laying roads, railways etc.; (b) if so, the details thereof and measures taken by the Government in this regard; (c) whether there is a huge gap in internet connectivity and digital infrastructure between States depending on the State and their network infrastructure; and (d) if so, the reasons therefor, State/ UT-wise? Laying of such utility ducts will address disruption in digital infrastructure caused by infrastructure related construction activities; and (c) & (d) For internet connectivity availability of telecom network is required. The growth of telecom network infrastructure has made possible connectivity throughout the country. However, there are 43,088 inhabited villages in the country which do not have mobile connectivity. SPEAKER: Today, the entire country is celebrating the 79th anniversary of the Quit India Movement. 79 years ago, on this day in 1942, our Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi ji, gave the clarion call to all the countrymen to unite to liberate the country from the slavery of British rule. The movement, which started with the slogan 'Do or Die' gradually, became a people's movement. The Quit India Movement was one of the most important events of our freedom struggle, which played a decisive role in achieving the great goal of our country's independence. On this occasion, we pay our tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and all the martyrs who have laid down their lives in the freedom struggle. Hon. Members, since 12th March this year, we are celebrating the 'Amrit' Mahotsav of Independence. The festival will continue till 15th August next year, when we complete 75 years of our independence. On this occasion, we resolve to remain united to preserve the country’s sovereignty, unity and integrity. Let us all dedicate ourselves to the ideals of such great people on which they stood firm.
