In the afternoon 15:00 – 18:30 Conference «Work and People with Rheumatic Diseases» “DON’T DELAY CONNECT TODAY TIME2WORK” Saturday, 11 May, 12.00 – 14.00: Opening Ceremony of CYPLAR’s Event for the Annual Awareness Week. Goals: • Raise awareness for people with RMDS to show that they are able to work with a rheumatic disease if they receive the appropriate support. • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement policies to support people to enter/retain the labour market. In the Thursday morning events with members of the Cyprus Parliament and the Cyprus Health Minister in which Marios Kouloumas, President of Cyplar, Prof. Johannes W.J. Bijlsma and Dieter Wiek the VP of EULAR representing PARE explained the background and initiation of EULAR’s campaign Don’t Delay Connect Today and then focused on the importance of work. They outlined that it is still difficult in particular for young people with a rheumatic disease to get into work and people to stay at work, if they get a rheumatic disease. Also they stressed out that people with RMDs have long sick leave, or get an early retirement because of their illness which has an impact on the society They emphasised that with workplace adaptations, working time flexibility etc. -

Nadda inaugurates Summit on 'Good Innovations in Public HealthCare' By TIOL News Service NEW DELHI, OCT 30, 2018: Mr J P Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare in the presence of Mr Sarbananda Sonowal, Chief Minister of Assam, inaugurated the 5th National Summit on “Good & Replicable Practices & Innovations in Public Health Care Systems in India― at Kaziranga, Assam today.  Mr J P Nadda and the Chief Minister of Assam also released a Coffee Table Book on Good Practices, Evidence to Action: Towards Universal Health Coverage. Mr Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Health Minister, Govt. of Assam, Mr Piyush Hazarika, Minister of State (Health), Govt. of Assam, Smt. Preeti Sudan, Secretary (Health), Mr Manoj Jhalani, AS & MD (NHM), Mr Samir Kumar Sinha, Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Assam were also present at the inaugural function. Speaking at the function, Chief Minister of Assam said that everybody will benefit from these best practices and there is a need to raise awareness amongst the masses about various health issues for ensuring a better future. CPA Secretariat, London hosted Pan-Commonwealth Conference of CWP at London from 25-29 June, 2014. The theme of the Conference was “Women in the Post Millennium Development Goal Era”. 2. The Conference held discussions on the following topics: i. Funding and fighting an effective election campaign ii. A vision for the future of Gender Equality iii. Negotiating a better position for women and girls after 2015 iv. Gender and Social Policy – Making your mark v. The role for Women in the Post-MDG era vi.
