It is a far cry from a biography, and the biographical information it contains is nothing that I have not already read online. However, to the author's credit, he went to painstaking lengths to list (and list and list) many of the recording sessions that Jerry Reed was part of, whether for his own recordings or those of other artists.The book has many grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors, and there are virtually no paragraph breaks. It also has no table of contents or page numbers. (What's up with that?)Towards the end of the book, the author included numerous magazine articles about Jerry -- some going back to the late 1950's when Jerry was first starting out -- but without paragraph breaks, the articles are difficult to read because all the text just runs together.All of the pictures in the book are black and white, and I don't recall seeing any that I haven't already seen online somewhere.One feature that I do like is the alphabetical listing of the songs that Jerry recorded. It tells you who wrote the song, what album(s) it's on, etc. The book also includes a complete discography with a photo of each album cover, its release date, personnel, and track listings.I'm not sorry that I bought the book, but it is disappointing in many ways.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I can personally verify this as we once established nervously excited eye contact in the trees outside Our Lord and Savior Jerry Reed's Nashville home one night years ago. We were both eagerly awaiting to see if He was going to eat His entire box of Eggo waffles at 1am, and if He would opt for butter and syrup or just eat them plain (entire box, plain... it's in the book).I don't want to give away too much, so you'll just to have to skip to the last few pages to see how many times took a belt to Him on the set of "." A must for any Fan, a must for finger style pickers and all fans of Jerry Reed or . 15 years in the making, collecting and researching all aspects of Jerry Reed and his career. I published a newsletter for Jerry Reed Junkies and have met Jerry several times and even worked after the shows with him answering questions from fans. I have collected and collected his works. At one point I donated my entire collection to The Georgia Music Hall of Fame in Macon, GA, they are now closed due to lack of funding, but we set up the Jerry Reed library for research by any person wanting to learn. Now it is all here in one book over 500 pages and 50 pages of photographs.

About the AuthorBeing a fan of Country Music and being exposed to Jerry Reed at an early age, I began to collect everything I could find. Helped other fans find the Jerry Reed and Chet Atkins items they wanted. After collecting so much stuff I decided to write a book. After many starts and restarts I have finally finished. Reedology A Jerry Reed Reference Guide. Anything anyone wants to know about the career of Jerry Reed is here. I published a newsletter The Jerry Reed Junkie Newsletter when Jerry was on Southern Tracks Records. I went to the office and showed my newsletter to Bill Lowery and he posted it on his website. I went to many Jerry Reed concerts and photographed and wrote stories for the newsletter. I met with Jerry several times and had him autograph records for the newsletter to give away when subscribers answered correctly to Jerry Reed trivia questions. I have worked shows with Jerry and he has stated go ask Mike he knows more about me than I do. I was now a Reedologist if that could be used for someone studying Jerry Reed and his career.
