SUPREME REFLECTIONS a Loving Tribute to the Music of Diana Ross & the Supremes and Motown SUPREME REFLECTIONS A Loving Tribute To The Music Of Diana Ross & The Supremes and Motown SUPREME REFLECTIONS is a loving tribute to the most famous female singing group of all time, THE SUPREMES! This sparkling trip down Motown’s memory lane is written and directed by Motown producer and creative consultant George Solomon and award- winning producer/director Michael Chapman with choreography by Paul Holmquist. The Tony Award winning Broadway hit DREAMGIRLS, which was loosely based on The Supremes, went on to become an Oscar winning film. Whereas DREAMGIRLS presented new music, we present the original, familiar classic hits and the true story of the actual SUPREMES. Baby Love, Stop! In The Name Of Love, You Can't Hurry Love, Love Child... You'll love, love, love this stylish, fun and informative musical gem! You may remember where you were when you first heard, Where Did Our Love Go, Come See About Me, Someday We’ll Be Together or Ain’t No Mountain High Enough. Artists who have followed in their footsteps like The Pointer Sisters, Whitney Houston, Vanessa Williams and some of today’s superstars like Beyoncé and the Pussycat Dolls have been influenced by Diana Ross and The Supremes. You’ll see why Oprah Winfrey credits The Supremes as her inspiration and why the Guinness Book Of World Records has declared Diana Ross the most popular female vocalist of all time! The ladies in our cast, Wendy Edmead, Tai Lewis and Marianne Lewis, are multi- talented and have each performed in scores of musicals and television shows. They are young but possess the dynamic qualities of the classic entertainers from another generation. Most importantly, their interpretation of The Supremes vocals are so true to the original recordings that it must be pointed out that they are singing live and not lip- syncing. The show is hosted and narrated by Motown aficionado Michael René. It’s hard to believe that these songs are thirty to forty years old, yet they sound as fresh and irresistible today as they did then. It’s impossible not to feel young when you hear the toe-tapping rhythm of the Motown Sound and the catchy melodies you’ll still be humming when you leave the show. The show is informative as well as hilarious as it’s filled with humorous anecdotes from The Supremes stellar career. It doesn’t just stop with the music...the show has costumes that even Cher would envy! Many forget that it was Diana Ross and The Supremes that first brought famed costume designer Bob Mackie to prominence. SUPREME REFLECTIONS is a full-scale musical comedy revue that will thrill your audience and give new appreciation to the three classy ladies from Detroit who became and remain the most popular female vocal group in the world! www.SupremeReflections.com .

Search TRAILBLAZERS IN MUSIC: CHECK OUT SONGS MUSICAL ARTISTS HAVE SAMPLED FROM WOMEN OF MOTOWN By Brianna Rhodes Photo: Classic Motown - Advertisement - The Sound Of Young America wouldn’t be known for what it is today without the trailblazing Women of Motown. Throughout its 60-year existence, Motown Records made an impact on the world thanks to music genius and founder, Berry Gordy. It's important to note though, that the African- American owned label wouldn’t have reached so many monumental milestones without The Supremes, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Mary Wells, The Marvelettes, Tammi Terrell and Gladys Knight. The success of these talented women proved that women voices needed to be heard through radio airwaves everywhere. As a kid, you were probably singing melodies created by these women around the house with family members or even performing the songs in your school’s talent show, not even realizing how much of an impact these women made on Black culture and Black music. This is why it’s important to acknowledge these women during the celebration of the label’s 60th anniversary. The legendary reign of the Women of Motown began back in 1960, with then 17-year-old musical artist Mary Wells with her debut single, “Bye Bye Baby.” Wells, who wrote the song herself, helped Motown attain its first Top 10 R&B hit ever. Wells continued to make history with her chart-topping single, “My Guy” becoming Motown’s fourth No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and the company’s first major U.K. single.
