John Buckingham "Don't You (Forget About Me)" Hey, hey, hey ,hey Ohhh... Won't you come see about me? I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby Tell me your troubles and doubts Giving me everything inside and out and Love's strange so real in the dark Think of the tender things that we were working on Slow change may pull us apart When the light gets into your heart, baby Don't You Forget About Me Don't Don't Don't Don't Don't You Forget About Me Will you stand above me? Look my way, never love me Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling Down, down, down Will you recognize me? Call my name or walk on by Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling Down, down, down, down Hey, hey, hey, hey Ohhhh..... Don't you try to pretend It's my feeling we'll win in the end I won't harm you or touch your defenses Vanity and security Don't you forget about me I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby Going to take you apart I'll put us back together at heart, baby Don't You Forget About Me Don't Don't Don't Don't Don't You Forget About Me As you walk on by Will you call my name? While the most advanced technological means to photograph and reproduce this document have been used, the quality is heavily dependent upon the quality of the original submitted. The following explanation of techniques is provided to help you understand markings or patterns which may appear on this reproduction. 1.The sign or "target" for pages apparently lacking from the document photographed is "Missing Page(s)". If it was possible to obtain the missing page(s) or section, they are spliced into the film along with adjacent pages. This may have necessitated cutting thru an image and duplicating adjacent pages to insure you complete continuity. 2. When an image on the film is obliterated with a large round black mark, it is an indication that the photographer suspected that the copy may have moved during exposure and thus cause a blurred image. You will find a good image of the page in the adjacent frame. 3. When a map, drawing or chart, etc., was part of the material being photographed the photographer followed a definite method in "sectioning" the material.

REV- J. B. CULPEPPER. SOME WOMEN I HAVE KNOWN BY REV. J. B. CULPEPPER, AUTHOR OF "Men Only," "Backsliders," "The Black Horse," "Just For Children," "The Wandering Lover; or, Christ ' * " Enthroned, ' 'Malice, Etc. PRICE; CLOTH 75 Cents, PAPER 40 Cento PICKETT PUBLISHING COMPANY. Louisville, Ky. — AUTHOK'S STATEMENT. Dear Eeaders: This little book is just what it claims to be—a talk about some women I have known. It has been prayed over. If it hurts you, let me know I owe you an apology. If it does you good, you owe me a word of encouragement. You can reach me through the mails at Louisville, Ky. I am a woman's boy, a woman's husband, a woman's father, and a woman's friend. Author. INTRODUCTORY.—"SOME WOMEN." The world has felt the influence of woman. From the time Mother Eve sold us out for a bite of fruit to the present, she has been the world's bane or blessing. A true, noble, Godly woman has a pull for the upper world that draws mightily at the heartstrings of man. She has about her a tenderness of spirit, a mildness of manner, a frame of devotion, an influence of general character, that is foreign to man, and at a premium in every good cir- cle. While in the Bible, angels are all represented in the masculine gender, pure, consecrated, sanctified woman- hood, somehow, reminds us more of the angels than ordi- nary manhood. When, however, a woman becomes coarse, neglects culture, develops frowardness, and sacrifices virtue, we instinctively turn from her.

  • Check out 8 Songs Musical Artists Have
Search TRAILBLAZERS IN MUSIC: CHECK OUT SONGS MUSICAL ARTISTS HAVE SAMPLED FROM WOMEN OF MOTOWN By Brianna Rhodes Photo: Classic Motown - Advertisement - The Sound Of Young America wouldn’t be known for what it is today without the trailblazing Women of Motown. Throughout its 60-year existence, Motown Records made an impact on the world thanks to music genius and founder, Berry Gordy. It's important to note though, that the African- American owned label wouldn’t have reached so many monumental milestones without The Supremes, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Mary Wells, The Marvelettes, Tammi Terrell and Gladys Knight. The success of these talented women proved that women voices needed to be heard through radio airwaves everywhere. As a kid, you were probably singing melodies created by these women around the house with family members or even performing the songs in your school’s talent show, not even realizing how much of an impact these women made on Black culture and Black music. This is why it’s important to acknowledge these women during the celebration of the label’s 60th anniversary. The legendary reign of the Women of Motown began back in 1960, with then 17-year-old musical artist Mary Wells with her debut single, “Bye Bye Baby.” Wells, who wrote the song herself, helped Motown attain its first Top 10 R&B hit ever. Wells continued to make history with her chart-topping single, “My Guy” becoming Motown’s fourth No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and the company’s first major U.K. single.
