Letter of Intent (LoI) on Collaboration in Polar and Ocean Research- It seeks to encourage collaboration in the areas of Polar (Antarctic and Arctic) and Ocean Research. Signatory parties are Earth System Science Organisation (ESSO) of India and the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat (SPRS) Memorandum of Intent (MoI) between Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the Swedish Research Council for Health Working Life and Welfare (FORTE) for cooperation in the field of ageing research and health.

Sebelumnya dia juga dipaksa menyerah oleh pebulu tangkis Vietnam, 12-21, 11-21. Dengan dua kekalahan ini, Linda gagal melaju ke babak 16 besar. Sementara itu, ganda campuran Indonesia kurang beruntung di babak perempat final. Sebab, dua wakil Merah Putih terpaksa ‘saling bunuh’ demi mendapat tiket menuju semifinal. Praveen Jordan/Debby Susanto akhirnya merelakan tiket ini ke tangan kompatriotnya, Lilyana Natsir/Tontowi Ahmad usai kalah 16-21, 11-21. Beruntung di nomor tunggal putra, satu-satunya wakil Indonesia, Tommy Sugiarto berhasil melaju ke babak 16 besar usai mengalahkan wakil Kuba, Osleni Guerrero di laga kedua grup J dengan skor 21-12, 21-14. Selain Tommy, ganda putri Indonesia Greysia Polii/Nitya Krishinda juga berhasil melaju ke babak 16 besar. Indonesia juga masih menyisakan dua atlet lagi di luar cabang bulu tangkis. Maria Londa bakal tampil di cabang atletik nomor lompat jauh, sedangkan Tony Syarifudin akan tampil di nomor balap sepeda BMX. Indonesia mengirimkan 28 atlet ke Rio de Janeiro.
