The children have a great opportunity to meet with juniors from other countries while learning English and their parents have the freedom to take a course at our adult college, knowing that their child is safe in our hands. It is not necessary for the entire family to do a language course; we also have excellent golfing and horse-riding programmes which may suit. Ireland is a beautiful setting for your family holiday and it is an excellent place to learn English. Our multinational classes focus on English Language grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation and skills development in reading, writing, listening and speaking. The main focus in all classes is on effective communication in real world contexts. Business English: The Business English course focuses on developing your ability to use English in the context of work and international business. It is perfect for you if you wish to further your Business English skills and wish to become more confident in your interaction with both clients and business colleagues. Classes are practical and incorporate the introduction of key business concepts and topics as well as enabling you to develop practical language skills for the modern business world. Students will improve their English language skills, in particular their speaking and listening in the mornings and have the opportunity to practise the new language during the afternoon and evening activities. English & Horse-Riding: Students attend English language classes in the morning and have the opportunity to go horse-riding in the afternoons. Students continue practising their English while also improving their horse-riding skills. English & Munster Rugby: Students on this course attend English language classes in the morning and the focus of the afternoon activities is on rugby training with the Munster Rugby Club. Each group is under the care of a dedicated group leader. The groups participate in up to 8 activities per day. Each day is different but at all times the focus is fun, safety and entertainment. The camp is aimed at children aged between 4 and 12 years of age. These apartments are new and modern apartments located in the centre of Cork City. The majority of the apartments have internet access and Wi Fi is also available in the adult school. As they are located in the city centre, the apartments are close to all amenities including restaurants, cafes, shops etc. Each apartment consists of: Open plan kitchen/ living area Bathroom with shower Central Heating TV and all cooking facilities Bed linen and Towels are provided There is a direct bus route from the apartments to the junior school. Students take the no 7 bus and a bus ticket will be provided. The adult school is within walking distance. Accommodation 2 Bedroom Apartment (Sleeps up to 4) 3 Bedroom Apartment (Sleeps up to 5) JUNIOR ENGLISH FAMILY LANGUAGE STAY Cork Cork is Ireland’s second city and is the ideal city for students to travel to as an EFL destination. It is the gateway to the South of Ireland. Cork was recently voted as one of the top twenty friendliest cities to visit by Conde Nast Traveller Magazine (August 2013), and was one of the Lonely Planets top ten cities to visit in 2010. Cork City has a population of approximately 160,000. The city is compact with excellent public transport. Most of the city based attractions located in the city area are within walking distance of the centre, and many are free to visit. The city has a vibrant arts and cultural ethos and was selected as the European City of Culture in 2005. Cork is host to many world-renowned festivals. These include the Guinness Jazz Festival, the International Film Festival, Cork International Choral Festival and the Cork Midsummer Festival to name a few. Corkonians often refer to their city as the ‘Real Capital’ of Ireland and it is true that Cork is certainly the gourmet centre of Ireland. The rich agricultural landscape has created a tradition of quality produce and culinary excellence. Cork is a major centre for international trade and manufacturing. Cork Harbour is one of the largest natural harbours in the world and the county is a second home to many multi-national corporations including Apple, EMC and Pfizer to name but a few. Getting to Cork By car Cork is 257km southwest of Dublin and is accessible via the M7 and M8. From Killarney take the N22. Access from Limerick and Galway is on the N20 and the N25 is South East gateway to the city. Services operate to most of the country including to Dublin, Kerry, Limerick, Waterford and Wexford. Cork- Kent Station is located just off Railway Street, Lower Glanmire Road. By air Cork airport is located just 8km from Cork City, and operates daily domestic and international flights to and from Cork. The best way to get into the city is the shuttle service. This runs every half hour from outside the arrivals hall and the service is available 7 days a week. The trip takes 10-15 minutes.
