Mario J. DeLuca, CPA, JD, LLM is the partner-in-charge of Aronson's Tax Services Group. He has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting profession, providing comprehensive tax services and advice to a diverse cross-section of clients.

Prior to joining Aronson, Mario worked for several large national and regional accounting firms, where he held a variety of tax practice leadership positions and served clients primarily in the real estate, government contracting, and industries. He also has extensive experience in . In addition, he is serving as an Adjunct Professor at American University’s Kogod School of Business in the Graduate Tax Program (MST) since 2005.

Mr. Kipps has over 20 years of experience in providing transaction advisory and financial consulting services to aerospace/defense and technology firms.

He founded KippsDeSanto & Co. in 2007 and has grown the firm to ~30 professionals–the largest investment exclusively focused on the Aerospace/Defense and Government Services sector. Over the years, Mr. Kipps has worked with some of the most successful industry firms both advising them on their strategy as they grew and assisting them with their eventual sale.

Prior to founding KippsDeSanto in 2007, Mr. Kipps was a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Washington, DC office and a leader of Houlihan Lokey’s Aerospace/Defense/Government industry group. Mr. Kipps was also with Peterson Consulting and Tucker Alan where he advised aerospace / defense, engineering, construction and technology companies.

Mr. Kipps was recognized as the Dealmaker of the Year – Investment Banker by the Association for Corporate Growth’s National Capital Chapter. He is on the Board of Directors of Information Systems Laboratories, Inc., Easter Seals of the Greater Washington- Region, and is a past member of the Advisory Board for the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of . Mr. Kipps is a frequent speaker on mergers & acquisitions involving aerospace / defense and technology firms and often provides market commentary to The Washington Post, GovConExec, Washington Business Journal, WashingtonExec, and Washington Technology, among others.

Scott Meza has more than 25 years of experience assisting businesses in complex transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs of public and private companies, and sophisticated equity and debt financings and recapitalizations. Scott's broad industry experience includes managing transactions for technology-based companies as well as companies operating in highly regulated environments like government contracting, telecommunications, and health care. Representative transactions include stock- for-stock combinations, cash-out mergers, tender and exchange offers, management buyouts, stock and asset purchases, distressed company acquisitions (e.g., bankruptcy auctions), corporate spin-offs and divestitures, and corporate governance matters.

Scott regularly represents venture funds and emerging growth companies in a variety of financing transactions, ranging from preferred stock sales, subordinated debt lending and licensing, and other strategic alliances.

Scott has also been a leader in organizing networks of accredited "angel" investors, which actively invest in emerging growth companies around the country. Scott also advises senior management and boards of directors on executive employment and compensation issues and equity incentive plans.

Maria Proestou is VTG’s Executive Vice President of Government and Customer Relations. At VTG, she is responsible for applying engineering services across the enterprise and developing strategies to meet the government’s most pressing mission priorities. Most recently, Maria lent her expertise to the development of cybersecurity engineering requirements for complex warfighting systems across DoD.

Maria was named to this position following the integration of her company, DELTA Resources, Inc. with VTG. Maria guided DELTA’s growth and development over the course of 20 years, effectively transitioning the firm from a woman-owned small business to a large business specializing in engineering services for the DoD’s largest acquisition command.

Throughout her professional career, Maria has been a frequent speaker on issues related to defense contracting and workplace flexibility. She has served as a keynote speaker at the Fortune Magazine “Best Places to Work” Annual Conference presenting Workplace Flexibility: Managing Challenges and Success and was invited to participate in the White House Forum on Workplace Flexibility, which kicked off executive branch workplace improvement initiatives. Proestou maintains an active role in the professional services industry, particularly with the Professional Services Council (PSC) where she serves on the Executive Committee as well as the Executive Advisory Board of the Defense and Intelligence Council (DIC). She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Fletcher Women’s Network and is active with the Women in Defense organization of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA).

Maria holds a Bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University, specializing in national security policy and a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from Tuft’s University where she completed a dual-thesis in international security studies and finance.
