Bowler is the first EMU player to earn first-team honors since Earl Boykins pulled off the feat in 1997-98. Joining Bowler on the All-MAC first team were Romeo Travis (Akron), DeAndre Haynes (Kent State), Jay Youngblood (Kent State), and William Hatcher (Miami). Bowler is leading the MAC in both scoring and rebounding and is the lone MAC player to average double figures in both scoring and rebounding this season, finishing the year with a 20.1 scoring mark and a 10.8 rebound average. The Eagles’ season ended Monday (March 6) in the first round of the MAC Tournament when they dropped a 60-55 decision at Western Michigan. Bowler turned in one of the top seasons in EMU and MAC history in 2005-2006 by averaging the double- double. He recorded 17 double-doubles this season and had 32 in his four-year career.
