Elizabeth Keefe Biography Elizabeth has been playing piano since the young age of six and singing since thirteen. Having taken lessons, theory, and performing recitals with the Royal Conservatory of Music, she began performing professionally at the age of 26. She played and sang in a number of bands during her early years, but her solo, professional playing took her around the world, playing Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and across western Canada.

Her many engagements included “the 400 Club” in Calgary, where she was house, piano bar entertainer for two years, “Hy’s Steak House” house, piano bar entertainer in Calgary for one year, and at a variety of different dine and dance venues, including the “Rob Roy Room” and the “Alberta Room” banquet hall with an accompanying violinist, at the world famous Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. She played for the annual Calgary Food and Beverage Association Christmas luncheon as well as the annual Christmas luncheon for the Petroleum Industry Wives Association, for two years in a row. Her strengths include smooth vocals, a lively piano, hilarious patter, and a “sing a long” booklet, with over 290 cover songs that include standards, pop, country, and classic rock favorites that is easily “downloaded” to smart phones. Novelty songs, hats, props, a tambourine, cow bell, and a hand drum, keep the crowd laughing and energetic with their enthusiastic, audience participation.

She is happy to accommodate song requests for any songs needed to learn prior to your special event and takes requests during her performances from her sing along book. Weddings, birthdays, and corporate parties are her specialty. Theme nights, costuming, decorations, and a Christmas song book are also available at your request. She is fully licensed and insured to perform at your venue. She also holds current ProServe and ProReel certification and has completed a hotel and restaurant management course. She is happy to work in other capacities at any hotel or lounge, while hired as house piano player for a lengthy stay.

Elizabeth is available weekends and can travel out of town overnight with provided accommodations. Her weighted, “88” key, portable “Yamaha” piano, mobile piano bar, 6 bar stools, amp with speakers, 2 microphones, and spot light, are available and can be set up in about an hour, at your pub, lounge, community hall, in your restaurant, home, backyard, or on your deck. Her mobile piano bar is the latest trend for a fun-filled, “live”, musical evening. By special request, video can be captured of your event, showcasing guests at Elizabeth’s piano bar, making a great keepsake of any event.

The piano bar may be an old idea, but Elizabeth’s MOBILE piano bar is brand new, where both young and old patrons will be able to sit around the piano and sing along to new pop songs and old familiar favorites. Adding patter, props, and humour, she keeps the evenings rockin’, and encourages patrons to get up and sing their favorite solos at the side microphone.

Elizabeth’s Mobile Piano and Piano Bar Rates: *$50 per hour (minimum 2 hour booking) vocals/piano includes/portable piano with cross stand only, 1 microphone and stand, drum machine, amplifier, 2 speakers with stands, downloadable sing along book. (actual mobile piano bar NOT included/venue piano may be used if in tune) *$100 per hour (minimum 4 hour booking) vocals/piano includes portable keyboard, complete mobile piano bar, with set up/take down, 6 bar stools, amplifier, 2 speakers with stands, drum machine, 2 microphones with stands, and downloadable sing a long booklet for all smart phones. $800 per weekend (maximum 4 hours per day) includes Friday and Saturday nights, and a Sunday afternoon jam session at any pub, lounge, or restaurant.

*Negotiation and agreement of salary is necessary and optional if you wish to hire Elizabeth as your HOUSE PIANIST/ VOCALIST for a lengthy stay, or wish her to fill another position at the same time at your hotel or restaurant, while hired as a house entertainer.

* Please note: Any overnight bookings requiring travelling distance, (ie: weddings, birthdays, home party or pub, etc.) must supply accommodation, meals, and fuel allowance. However, Elizabeth is happy to negotiate these costs.

Elizabeth’s Mobile Piano Bar Video Shoot: (upon request) *$150 for a half hour, edited and completed DVD or *$25/DVD for 5 minutes per soloist performance PLUS: *$100 for entire evening and $100 for additional video operator if required (camera and lighting included)
