It was released in China on November 18, 2016, in 2D, 3D and China Film Giant Screen 3D, and on video-on-demand in the U.S. on May 5. (Need clarification) Plot Jack Bronson (Uriah Shelton) is a teenager who spends his free time playing warrior video games and works in a Chinese curiosities and antiques shop. His mother tries to sell the house in which they live before he goes into foreclosure. When Jack goes to the bike park, Travis (Dakota Doulby), a neighbor's bully and his friends pursue him, and he hides inside his shop bosses and helps. A family heirloom, the Gate of warriors, from Mr. Cheng's cousin in Beijing arrives at the store, and he gives it to Jack as a gift. Jack falls asleep with a thing in his room and wakes up with a sword around his neck. The warrior zhao (Mark Chao) tells him that the Black Knight must take care of the most valuable thing in the kingdom; Princess. Jack recognizes Princess Su Lin, and she stays with him for the night. The next morning, the barbarians from the game kingdom come to kill the princess, but she fights them, destroying the house in the process. The barbarians take the princess back to another kingdom through the gates of the warriors, but when Jack goes in after her he arrives elsewhere. The warrior who sent the princess to stay with Jack is there and there is an army of barbarians trying to kill them. The Wizard stops time, and the army is frozen. The Wizard tells Jack that he was one of six children raised from both to protect the emperor, and that the only person who could defeat them was Arun the cruel, king of the barbarians. Arun poisoned the warriors and killed the emperor, and the only survivors were Su Lin and zhao. The Wizard searched through his seeing stone to find the greatest warrior to protect the princess and found the Black Knight; Jack in the avatar game; ferocious and intelligent warrior. Jack and zhao learn that Arun is cruel to marry a princess, become emperor, and then she is killed; so their mission is to save her. While on their way through the Unknown Kingdom, Jack tries to get zhao to dance and have fun. In the Jack is captured by a beautiful witch triplets who intend to eat him, but zhao saves him. At night, he begins to teach Jack how to fight. They get to the lake and zhao says the hike around him will take a few days because he can't swim. Jack agrees to teach him if he continues to teach him how to fight like a warrior. When they arrive in the kingdom of Aruna, they are captured; their way to get into the kingdom and past all the guards and knights. They get freedom by working together to kill the guard when he gives them food. Jack rescues Su Lin, but just as they are going to kiss the barges and interrupt them. On their way out they get repulsed and put back in the cell, Jack tells zhao that he is too young to die without even kissing the girl. He shows that he is, too. A butterfly appears, and zhao talks to her. Jack asks if his butterfly understands, and zhao replies that he hopes so. During the wedding, when Arun the cruel lifts the veil and goes to kiss Su Lin he sees her face, that of an insect-eating monster with a long tongue and huge eyes. The Wizard uses his magic to distract everyone and frees Jack and zhao shortly before he is hanged. The Wizard pours magic powder on the shoes of the jacks and tells him to jump. Jack saves the princess and all the barbarians try to kill them. The Wizard gives Jack bags of magic powder to throw at them. One of the bags makes one of the barbarians a huge monster, however; too big for Jack and a formidable enemy for zhao. In the end, Jack and Su Lin catapult themselves away and zhao and the Wizard go away as well. Jack wakes up in the woods alone and after searching finds Su Lin tied up. Arun's guards attack Jack, but he fights them off. Arun and Jack fight until Jack kills Arun and saves the princess. Su Lin is crowned Empress and sometimes then they kiss, and she tells Jack that she never thought it was worthless; even when they first met. The Empress's guards see her lipstick on Jack's face and try to kill him for touching her; but he returns home through the Warriors Gate; smashing it to pieces and rendering it useless to return. When he goes to school the next day Jack finally defeats his bully, Travis. At home, Jack tries to put the Warriors Gate back together, but not so he creates a video game called Gate Warriors and sells it for $25,000, so he and his mom get to keep their house. A few days later Jack is in the mall for some ice cream and stumbles upon Su Lin. She had a wizard make her another box/gate and made a new law that everyone gets the holidays; Even the Empress. Back in the Kingdom of the Empress, we see how zhao teaches all the knights to dance. Su Lin also dances a modern dance while standing on the balcony of his Forbidden City as Starring Uriah Shelton as Jack Bronson / Black Knight Marc Chao in The Warrior of zhao . Neither 2 is Princess Su Lin. Dave Dave as Arun the cruel (Middle, Horrible, Terrible, Strong, Unhappy) Francis Nge as the Wizard. Sienna Gillory as Annie Bronson Ron Smurenburg in The Black Knight. David Thorok as Dakota Doulby in Viking Warrior in Travis Lee. Production of the film had a budget of 300 million pounds. Filming began on May 4, 2015. It was filmed on location at Hengdian World Studios in Jinhua, China and in British Columbia, Canada. The Hollywood Reporter compared the film to The Last Starfighter. Discussing the director, the review notes that Hoene keeps things competent rather than creative, and shows little flair he did in Cockney vs. zombies, and that the story sneaks into familiar territory that can attract young adult viewers to an YA audience that is largely in the 1980s. DOCTOR WHO LOGOPOLIS Christopher H. Bidmead Based on the BBC television serial by Christopher H. Bidmead by arrangement with the British Broadcasting Corporation 1. Events cast shadows before them, but the huger shadows creep over us unseen. When some great circumstance, hovering somewhere in the future, is a catastrophe of incalculable consequence, you may not see the signs in the small happenings that go before. The Doctor did, however - vaguely. While the Doctor paced back and forth in the TARDIS cloister room trying to make some sense of the tangle of troublesome thoughts that had followed him from Traken, in a completely different sector of the Universe, in a place called Earth, one such small foreshadowing was already beginning to unfold. It was a simple thing. A policeman leaned his bicycle against a police box, took a key from the breast pocket of his uniform jacket and unlocked the little telephone door to make a phone call. Police Constable Donald Seagrave was in a jovial mood. The sun was shining, the bicycle was performing perfectly since its overhaul last Saturday afternoon, and now that the water-main flooding in Burney Street was repaired he was on his way home for tea, if that was all right with the Super. It seemed to be a bad line. Seagrave could hear his Superintendent at the far end saying, 'Speak up . Who's that . .?', but there was this whirring noise, and then a sort of chuffing and groaning . The baffled constable looked into the telephone, and then banged it on his helmet to try to improve the connection.

DOCTOR WHO - it's a question and a statement... Compiled by James Deacon [2013] http://aetw.org/omega.html DOCTOR WHO - it's a Question, and a Statement ... Every now and then, I read comments from Whovians about how the programme is called: "Doctor Who" - and how you shouldn't write the title as: "Dr. Who". Also, how the central character is called: "The Doctor", and should not be referred to as: "Doctor Who" (or "Dr. Who" for that matter) But of course, the Truth never quite that simple As the Evidence below will show... * * * * * * * http://aetw.org/omega.html THE PROGRAMME Yes, the programme is titled: "Doctor Who", but from the very beginning – in fact from before the beginning, the title has also been written as: “DR WHO”. • Sociopathetic Abscess Or Yawning Chasm? the Absent Postcolonial Transition In
Sociopathetic abscess or yawning chasm? The absent postcolonial transition in Doctor Who Lindy A Orthia The Australian National University, Canberra, Australia Abstract This paper explores discourses of colonialism, cosmopolitanism and postcolonialism in the long-running television series, Doctor Who. Doctor Who has frequently explored past colonial scenarios and has depicted cosmopolitan futures as multiracial and queer- positive, constructing a teleological model of human history. Yet postcolonial transition stages between the overthrow of colonialism and the instatement of cosmopolitan polities have received little attention within the program. This apparent ‘yawning chasm’ — this inability to acknowledge the material realities of an inequitable postcolonial world shaped by exploitative trade practices, diasporic trauma and racist discrimination — is whitewashed by the representation of past, present and future humanity as unchangingly diverse; literally fixed in happy demographic variety. Harmonious cosmopolitanism is thus presented as a non-negotiable fact of human inevitability, casting instances of racist oppression as unnatural blips. Under this construction, the postcolonial transition needs no explication, because to throw off colonialism’s chains is merely to revert to a more natural state of humanness, that is, cosmopolitanism. Only a few Doctor Who stories break with this model to deal with the ‘sociopathetic abscess’ that is real life postcolonial modernity. Key Words Doctor Who, cosmopolitanism, colonialism, postcolonialism, race, teleology, science fiction This is the submitted version of a paper that has been published with minor changes in The Journal of Commonwealth Literature, 45(2): 207-225. 1 1. Introduction Zargo: In any society there is bound to be a division. The rulers and the ruled.

'Do you know, I've never been to Atrios.' Romana looked up from the TARDIS's control console. 'What about Zeos?' 'Where?' 'Zeos, its twin. "Atrios and Zeos are twin planets at the edge of the helical galaxy." Didn't they teach you anything at the Academy?' 'But we're not going to Zeos!' protested the Doctor. 'No, we're going to Atrios.' 'Well, what are we hanging about for? Why don't you get on with it?' Romana's hands moved skillfully over the controls. 'Atrios, here we come! I wonder what it's like?' The wandering Time Lord known as the Doctor and Romana his Time Lady companion, were nearing the end of a long and dangerous quest. Now the Key was needed again, to enable the White Guardian to correct a state of temporal imbalance which was threatening the universe, and frustrate the schemes of the evil Black Guardian. The Doctor's task was complicated by the fact that the segments of the Key had a number of mysterious powers, including that of transmutation.
