Its provinces are identified through its unique features that are all funneled in the diverse context of the Filipino culture. There is an unlimited option in seeking adventure within the country. From funky road trips to leisure, professional, and extreme sports, the Philippines offers numerous facilities on land, air, and water. Cycling is a much-loved activity for all ages alongside with running, swimming, basketball, football, and badminton. The Philippines is a tropical country made up of 7,107 islands where 170 Filipino dialects are spoken. It has two seasons – wet and dry. March to May are the months of sun-kissed activities while the rest of the year is mainly covered with rain and cold breeze. Regardless of climate, the country is fueled by hundreds of festivities where people share the banquet of good food and tight-knit relationships. Filipinos are people of strength, resilience, and faith – such characteristics are manifested through the most genuine smiles. Originally intended to house the Congress of the Philippines when Quezon City was the capital of the Philippines from 1948 to 1976, it features a park with a 217ft tall mausoleum at its center. The mausoleum contains the remains of President Manuel L. Quezon, the second President of the Philippines, and his wife, First Lady Aurora Quezon. Created on December 10, 1955 by President Ramon Magsaysay, the reservation uses its 73,000 hectares for military training and live-fire exercises. It also provides the Philippines and its allies training grounds for large unit jungle warfare. Antonio Luna was a General who fought in the Philippine-American War. His commitment to discipline and service to his country attracted admiration from many while his fiery and confrontational temper led to constant friction between him and the other members of the Philippine government. This natural beauty is an ideal place for trekking, swimming, and exploration. Within the area is the Imugan Mountain Fresh Factory, which produces spreads, jams, and preserves made from the wild berries and fruits growing in the region. The most popular choices are the Bonuan Tondaligan beaches, a long, sandy strip located to the northeast of the city. The building was commissioned by Governor Juan Rodriguez and was named after Urduja, the legendary Pangasinan warrior princess of Tawilisi. Designed by American architect Daniel Hudson Burnham, the park boasts many features that highlight the natural beauty of the area. The park has a variety of gardens, like the Orchidarium and the Rose Garden, facilities for physical recreation, like the Melvin Jones Grandstand and the Baguio Athletic Bowl, and other attractions, like bicycle and boat rentals near Burnham Lake.
