The 17th annual Bob Whalen Advanced Skills Camp provides an excellent opportunity for rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to be instructed by the Dartmouth College coaching staff. The Advanced Skills Camp is designed for the serious baseball player, one who has the interest and desire to play collegiate and/or professional baseball.

Goals of the Camp • Receive an opportunity to demonstrate your ability and potential to the Dartmouth College baseball staff and other head coaches from high academic Division III schools. • Receive quality coaching to help you develop your skills and a professional evaluation of your ability, along with feedback as to where you can play in college. • Receive a question and answer session (not a recruiting presentation) about the college selection process. • To help you learn more about Dartmouth College, our baseball program, and more importantly, get good information regarding the college selection process. This should allow you to feel more comfortable in finding the right fit in searching for a school and baseball program.

Cost and Team Information • Price for the camp is $595. (Non-refundable deposit: $200) • Camp is open to rising high school seniors, juniors and sophomores for the fall of 2020. • Enrollment is limited to 108 campers — 18 per team — and will be broken down by positions. Your primary position may or may not be available at the time of registration. • Once your camp application and deposit are received, you will receive an e-mail confirming your spot in the camp. When a position is full, we will establish a waiting list for that position. If your application form and deposit are received, but your primary position has been filled up, you will be enrolled into the camp at your secondary position and put onto the wait list at your primary position. Note to infielders and outfielders: you will play all three positions in each game (i.e. 3B, SS, 2B or LF, CF, RF). • Every pitcher will throw 3 innings in a game along with receiving pitching and fielding instruction. • Every position player will play in two games, be evaluated in a pro-style defensive workout, get timed in the 60 yard sprint, and receive hitting and fielding instruction. PLEASE NOTE that players who are enrolled as a primary pitcher WILL NOT during batting practice. Pitchers will hit in a game only if their team is short at the pitcher’s secondary position. • Each camper must bring their own baseball equipment to include bat, batting helmet, glove, batting gloves, spikes and turf shoes or sneakers. will need their own ’s gear. • Each camper will be provided with a camp t-shirt to be worn during the camp. However, campers must bring their own baseball pants and hat. • Each camper should submit a copy of an updated High School transcript along with any Standardized Test Scores if not previously submitted. • In case of rain, full camp will be held in Leverone Fieldhouse adjacent to Red Rolfe Field. • For questions or information, please call Bob Whalen (603-646-2477), Conor Burke (603-646-2765) or Blake McFadden (603-646-9775).

Registration Procedure • All campers must submit a completed application form. • A place in the camp will be determined on a first-come, first-serve basis by position until all positions are filled. • As soon as your camp application and deposit are received, you will receive an email confirmation allowing you to reserve plane tickets and hotels. • Application, consent to treatment, and health form must be completed in full and sent along with a non-refundable deposit of $200 to: Bob Whalen 5 Dairy Lane Hanover, NH 03755 • Please make all checks payable to: Bob Whalen (credit card payments will not be accepted).

Hotel and Transportation • You are responsible for your own lodging accommodations while attending the camp. We will provide a list of local hotels (with a variety of cost and convenience factors) from which you can choose. • Transportation to Hanover, NH, as well as to and from the camp, is your responsibility. Campus Information Session: Registration: Thursday (11:00am -12:00pm) at Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park on the Dartmouth Campus * Please note the information sessions and campus tours are done through the Dartmouth Admissions Office and are subject to change. * The admissions office will be closed on the weekend and you must signup in advance for the information session and tour.
