We have aimed to continue at least one line of descent from each of the Srd generation from Richard Risley {l.) We do not wish to be held respoDS1ole for the accaracy of names, dates of births, marriages and deaths. It has been our endeavor to collect and tabulate accurately, so far as we could learn, the dates contained in this work. Those in the family who have erroneously spelled the name "Wrisley," we have corrected by using the original spelling " Ri.81,ey." The erroneous spelling of tms name began with one of Samuel Risley's8 sons, while ·the father and 'l'PJ11aining sons spelled the name " Ris1,ey " as originally used. Those wishing to connect themselv.?S with the family lines should correspond with Mrs• .Alfred C. Clapp, East Wmdsor Hill, Conn., as she is corresponding secretary of the Associa tion of" The Descendants of Richard Risley, (Inc.)" We wish to reco~ the able assistance given by Mr. Albert E. Risley, Hartford, Conn.; Mrs. Zada Risley Smith, Hamil ton, N. Y.; Mrs. Edwin H. Risley and Mrs. Everett E. Risley. UTICA, N. Y., 1908. EDWIN H. Rmx.Er.
