Dan Burt was named head coach of the Duquesne women’s basketball program on April 27, 2013. In just two years time, he THE DAN BURT FILE has had unprecedented success. As a student at Duquesne, she received the prestigious Senior Award for her many contributions to the school including serving as Commuter Council Vice-President, Orientation Publications Chair and being member of the Student Advisory Committee. Franko was also on the 1993 Duquesne Homecoming Court.

GRADUATE ASSISTANT OLIVIA BRESNAHAN Olivia Bresnahan is in her first year as the team’s graduate student manager.

Bresnahan, who played two season with the Dukes, graduated from Duquesne in May 2015 with a degree in marketing. She is pursuing her MBA.

A native of Butler, Pa. and a graduate of Butler High School, Bresnahan came to the Bluff after player her first two seasons at Florida State. In her two seasons with the Dukes, she started 54 of 56 games at guard, averaging 7.8 points per game. She scored a career-high points in her first career game in a Duquesne uniform against West Virginia.

Off the court, Bresnahan participated in The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) 13th annual “So You Want To Be A Coach” program. Just one of 50

Samson is 6-2 guard from Saint-Bruno, Quebec, a city that is 20 miles northeast of Montréal.

She led Team Quebec to a national title for the U15 team and competed In U17 Quebec teams at the Canada Games. She won a national title with the St-Bruno Cougars club team, leading them to a 17-2 record and was named league and team MVP.

In the summer of 2014, Samson’s Bluehounds team partici- pated in the Big Apple Challenge in Newark, N.J. and the Nike Fall Finale in Washington, D.C. -- both sponsored by the U.S. Junior Nationals. Samson was named to the All- Star team in both games. The previous year, she was an All-Star at the USJN East Coast Challenge and a tourna- ment Stand-Out at the Nike event.
