Musikfreunde | Magazin der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien September| Oktober 2021 „Heimat ist dort, wo der Schlüssel passt“ Daniel Behle Daniel Behle gibt im Oktober ein zweifaches Debüt im Musikverein: als Tenorsolist in Brittens „War Requiem“ und mit einem unkonventionell programmierten Liederabend. Der erfolgreiche Tenor von heute erscheint nicht in der Limousine am Treffpunkt im Grünen Prater. Er gleitet gemächlich auf dem Elektroroller heran, in Leiberl und kurzer Hose, ohne Termindruck, völlig entspannt. Und wenn es sich um Daniel Behle handelt, folgt auch kein typisches Interview, bei dem schlicht Fragen beantwortet werden. Vielmehr erlebt man eine Art Performance, bei der Behle singend und gestikulierend die mitgebrachte Partitur erläutert, assoziativ draufloserzählt und vom Handy die wichtigsten Nummern einer noch unveröffentlichten CD hören lässt. „Ich bin ein Hamburger Junge“, sagt der 46-Jährige, derzeit führender Mozart-Tenor an den ersten europäischen Häusern – und mit diesem Schicksal hoch zufrieden, auch wenn er sich keineswegs damit zufriedengibt, sondern seine Fühler bereits nicht minder erfolgreich ins Wagner-Repertoire ausgestreckt hat und darüber hinaus eine ganze Palette von kreativen Projekten betreibt, von denen noch die Rede sein muss. Seinen Lebensmittelpunkt hat Daniel Behle allerdings dort, wo seine „Liebsten“ wohnen: in Basel, der Heimatstadt seiner Frau Carla, Bratschistin, ausgebildet bei Hatto Beyerle; die Kinder, vier, sechs und acht Jahre alt, spielen ebenfalls Streichinstrumente. Im Wohnzimmer von Familie Behle steht der Originalflügel aus dem Besitz von Fritz Wunderlich. Genau genommen ist der Schweizer Staatsbürger Daniel Behle aber auch zur Hälfte Österreicher, denn seine Mutter stammt aus Graz. Renate Behle hat ihrem Sohn eine imponierende Laufbahn als Sängerin vorgelebt, von den Mezzo- Hosenrollen ihrer Anfangszeit bis ins hochdramatische Sopranfach, und sie war Daniels wichtigste Lehrerin, was Technik betrifft. -

Cherubini di Firenze, ha frequentato corsi di perfezionamento con il M° Ciro Scarponi e all’Accademia Chigiana di Siena con il M° Giuseppe Garbarino. Ha partecipato dal 1979 a numerose edizioni del Cantiere Internazionale d’arte di Montepulciano, suonando in gruppi da camera e in orchestra anche come solista, con Direttori come Jan Latham-Koenig, Marcus Stenz, Pasquale Veleno, Roland Böer, Luciano Garosi. Ha eseguito “ prime assolute “, in Italia e all’estero alcune delle quali trasmesse dal terzo canale radiofonico della RAI e dalla radio Nazionale Svizzera. Ha studiato flauto dolce con il M° Anna Schuly, con il M° Marijke Schat e Paolo Capirci diplomandosi nel 1991 in flauto diritto ed interpretazione della musica antica a Roma. Nel 1995 e nel 1996 ha seguito corsi di musica da camera con il M° Pier Narciso Masi. Nel 2001 e 2002 ha seguito corsi di direzione d’orchestra con il M° Alessandro Pinzauti. Nel 2005 vince il 2° concorso Nazionale “ Il Corto “ di Roma come migliore musica originale del cortometraggio di Isabella Borromeo “ Bianca “. Primo Clarinetto dell’Arcadia Wind Orchestra di Abbadia S. Salvatore vincitrice del 1° premio assoluto al XIII° Concorso Nazionale “ La bacchetta d’Oro “ a Fiuggi nel maggio 2010. Naomi Berrill Naomi Berrill nasce a Galway (Irlanda) nel 1981. I suoi genitori, insegnanti di musica, hanno avuto un ruolo fondamentale nel suo percorso formativo. La madre Mairead è un punto di riferimento per l’insegnamento della musica nelle scuole irlandesi. -

This bold and visual production comes from The Lyric Opera of Chicago and has never been seen by San Diego Opera audiences. The costumes come from Santa Fe Opera. Making a welcome return in her signature role is soprano Lise Lindstrom who has sung the role at all the world’s leading stages, including here in San Diego in her Company debut in 2011. She is joined by American soprano Angel Joy Blue in her Company debut as Liù. Also in a Company debut is American tenor Carl Tanner as Calaf. Rounding out the cast is American bass Brian Kontes as Timur, Italian baritone Marco Nisticò as Ping, American tenor Joseph Gaines as Pang, American tenor Joel Sorensen as Pong, American bass- baritone Scott Sikon as the Mandarin, and America tenor Chad Frisque as Emperor Altoum.
