Catalogue 2013 Catalogue 2013 www.edding.com Dear customers, At the start of a new year it is always good to look back on the previous 12 months, take stock and reflect on the colour 001. Because at edding 001 is not only our colour reference for Black - our bestselling colour; but it also denotes our trading and financial situation, which since our foundation in 1960, has without exception always been in the "Black". This achievement is thanks to our 600 or so employees, from all around the world. When so many diverse cultures and talents come together, differences in terms of concepts, approaches and ideas, are inevitable. Yet we never disagree about quality. Instead, we make it! We not only apply our high standards to our products, but also to the criteria which are critical for your success. These include, for example, order processing, sales support, customer care, sales policies, and the value for money offered. You, our customers, never fail to reward our commitment. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for your trust and loyalty! 2 edding – a top(-selling) brand Our strong brand is our biggest asset and our greatest obligation. That’s why we regard the preservation and protection of the edding brand (and the quality associated with it), as one of the biggest challenges for the future. Current consumer behaviour makes it clear why a strong, likeable and reliable brand is so important. The number of consumers who make deliberate, quality-guided decisions, and opt in favour of brand-name products in order to reduce the purchase risk, is on the increase. The desire for originality, authenticity, and sustainability, is particularly pronounced amongst the younger target group. In a nutshell: in many sectors, markets are increasing in value, but declining in volume. This is also true for the paper, office supplies and stationery industries, in many European markets, and is clearly demonstrated by the figures published by the market research institute, GfK, for the marker panel market 1. We are growing – closer to our customers We don’t just rely on external advice and studies when it comes to our developments, decisions and measures. We too, have our ears to the ground. We always look at the wider picture – all over the world: After all, a closer understanding of you and your customers, is one of the secrets of our success. As part of a comprehensive, qualitative market study, we consulted consumers about their wishes and needs. Last year, we went to great lengths to put the findings of this study into practice, and you will find the results of our thoughts and actions here, in our new main catalogue. As the first step, we have developed seven concept categories, with clearly defined target groups and ranges. These include, for example, "Colour and Play", with a vividly bright selection of fibrepens for children. For 2013, we have added a further three creative products to this range, which will delight both children and adults, thanks to their special features. The "Creating and Decorating" category also includes a number of innovative products for this year. Our consumer analyses in this category have shown that customers want to be inspired, and that's precisely what we plan to do, not only with the right pens, but also, with creative ideas of how best to use them, too. Furthermore, our brand and product range will be presented in an even better light in 2013, by means of new POS solutions and simple, clear-cut packaging ideas. At edding we are looking forward to a prosperous new business year with you, and a continued, successful partnership. Kind regards, Per Ledermann, edding AG Management Board. 1 Germany, Belgium, Poland, United Kingdom 3 Contents Page EcoLine EcoLine Highlighters edding 24 8 EcoLine Permanent markers edding 21 · 22 9 EcoLine Whiteboard markers edding 28 · 29 10 EcoLine Flipchart markers edding 31 · 32 11 Professional Marking Permanent markers edding 2000 C · 2200 C · No.1 · 400 · 404 · 500 · 550 · 800 · 850 · retract 11 edding 300 · 330 · 370 · 390 13-16 Refill inks edding T 25 · T 100 · T 1000 · V 100 · MTK 25 · RMTK 25 17 Paint markers edding 750 · 751 · 780 · 8700 · 8750 18-19 Specialist markers edding 950 · 8010 · 8011 · 8020 · 8030 · 8280 · 8300 · 8404 · 8407 · 8750 20-22 Chalk markers edding 4090 · 4095 22-23 Cutters / Spare blades edding M 18 · ML 18 · CB 18 23 Educating and Presenting Whiteboard markers edding 360 · 363 · 250 · 361 · 365 · 366 · retract 12 · 725 25-27 Refill inks edding BT 30 · BTK 25 · RBTK 25 27 Whiteboard marker accessories edding BMA 1 · BMA 2 · BMA 3 · BMA 4 · BMA 15S 29 Flipchart markers / Refill ink edding 380 · 383 · 388 · FTK 25 30 OHP markers permanent edding 140 S · 141 F · 142 M · 143 B 31 OHP markers non-permanent edding 150 S · 151 F · 152 M · 153 B 32 Writing, Highlighting and Correcting Fineliners and ink rollers – disposable edding 85 · 88 · 89 34 Liquid-ink-pens edding 66 · 67/77 · 68/78 · 69/79 35 Fineliners, ink rollers and gel rollers edding 1600 europe · 1700 VARIO · 1700 VARIO R · 1700 VARIO blue edding 1700 VARIO gel · 2190 gel · 2185 36-38 Cartridges edding 1603 F · 1702 F VARIO · 1706 M VARIO · 1707 R VARIO edding 1715 VARIO blue · 1708 VARIO gel 37 Fibrepens edding 1200 color pen 38 Precision fineliners edding 1800 · 1880 39-40 Highlighters / Refill ink edding 230 · 66 · 345 · HTK 25 · 23 40-41 Brilliant paper markers / Refill ink edding 30 · 33 · PTK 25 42 CD/DVD/BD markers edding 8400 · 8500 RW · 84 43 Correction pen edding 7700 44 Ink eraser edding 1515 44 Erasers edding DR 20 · R 10 · R 20 44 Cutters / Spare blades edding MP 9 · M 9 · M 18 · ML 18 · CB 9 · CB 18 45 4 Contents Contents Page Repairing and Maintaining at home Grout marker edding 8200 47 Silicone oil marker edding 8150 47 Universal oil marker edding 8160 47 Carpenter pen edding 8850 48 Furniture marker edding 8900 48 Furniture repair wax kit edding 8901 48 Wooden floor repair wax kit edding 8902 49 Wax heating iron edding 8903 49 Organising and Marking at home Freeze marker edding 8000 51 Laundry marker edding 8040 51 Tyre marker edding 8050 51 Outdoor marker edding 8055 52 Paint marker edding 750 52 Industry painter edding 950 52 Permanent markers edding 2000 C · 2200 C · 400 · 404 · 850 · retract 11 · 405 · mini marker 0.5 53-55 Creating and Decorating Gloss paint markers edding 750 · 751 · 780 · 755 · 753 · 74 M · 75 B 58-59 Calligraphy edding 1255 · 1455 60-61 Matt paint markers edding 4000 · 4040 62 Textile markers edding 4500 · 4600 63 Fibrepens edding 1200 metallic · 1200 · 1300 · 1340 64-65 Fineliner edding 55 66 Gel roller edding 2185 66 Chalk markers edding 4090 · 4095 67 Colour and Play Fibrepens for children edding 14 FUNTASTICS · 15 FUNTASTICS · 13 FUNTASTICS MAGIC FUN 69-70 Children's window pen edding 16 FUNTASTICS WINDOW FUN 70 Children's textile pen edding 17 FUNTASTICS TEXTILE FUN 70 Children's face paint sticks edding 18 FUNTASTICS FACE FUN · 47 FUNTASTICS FACE FUN family 71 Blister cards · Displays · edding Information Blister range 72-83 Display range 84-92 Promotional product range 92 Shop system 92 Product index 93 Article index 94-97 Product information 98 Colour chart · Legend 99 Contents 5 For the sake of the environment – for tomorrow’s world! • Tamworth Castle Labelling and Marking Policy Introduction
Tamworth Castle Labelling and Marking Policy Introduction Purpose 1. The purpose of this policy is to enable Tamworth Castle to easily identify an object with its associated documentation. It therefore describes the objects that require labelling / marking, the guiding principles, responsibility and authorisation, methods of labelling / marking, labelling groups of items, labelling / marking packaging, the removal of numbers, retrospective labelling / marking and labelling / marking of the Handling Collection. Scope 2. The policy applies to:- a) All objects that have been accessioned into the main collection (purchases and donations). b) All objects that have been accessioned into the Handling Collection (purchases and donations). c) Objects that have not been accessioned (newly entered items, items to be identified, Loans-In). 3. The terms temporary and semi-permanent are used in this policy to describe the longevity of marking methods used. Definitions of their use are to be found in Tamworth Castle’s Labelling and Marking Procedures, paragraph 3. Guiding Principles 4. At each stage in an object’s transition through the Museum its identifying number needs to be clearly visible. There are no exceptions to this rule. See the Numbering Guidelines for a summary of numbering formats in use at Tamworth Castle. 5. The following principles will guide the decision on marking and labelling: a) Permanence. The chances of accidental removal of the label / mark from the artefact must be extremely low. b) Long-term reversibility. It must be possible for a label or mark to be removed from an artefact, even after 50-100 years. c) Care of the artefact. Neither the materials applied to the artefact nor the way in which they are applied must risk significant damage to the artefact.
